I can still see plenty of twists in this.

For one he never mentioned that there is a mole in the CIA, he is worried about them hurting his family and finding out that his cover has been exposed to the CIA but he never felt the need to tell them that there is a mole and that they could find out through the mole.

Estes is the mole,he's the only who didn't take the lie detector test in series one.

Did anyone specifically mention there is a mole in the CIA?

Or are we just assuming as Saul got checked at the Airport and we assume somebody tipped them off.

Estes did take the lie detector test. Remember he was really pissed off doing it.

Estes is pretty grouchy during his polygraph.

Danny is the mole IMO but like I posted a few pages back it's likely we will never find out as the writers have said they just referenced it to point out it was a fact of life in the CIA rather than building any great plot around it.

The mole is more referenced from the Nazir side, as Roya told Broady where the list of names was in Estes office and that they knew cause someone on inside knew about it. Have I got this right?

It could well be a low level insider like a former PA of Estes who would not know of the more detailed or secretive going on's of the CIA.

I'm finding the subplot with the kids to be a bit lame - seems to me like it is something conjured up to fill in some episode time later in the series. Sopranos used to have lots of naked ladies in episodes that were considered to be slow so as to maintain the attention of the male viewers. This little side show of the kids taking part in a hit and run will no doubt develop and roll along for several episodes without really interfering with the main plot and the main reasons why people watch Homeland. One mans internal conflict - the cause he believes in or the children that believe in him. The conflict is amazing, its so intense. the acting of both leads is superb at times.
Brodie and Carries relationship is bound to develop further now that she has utterly exposed herself to him. She too has the same internal conflict, love for him vs love of country.

Have thoroughly enjoyed the series so far but the pace is not sustainable. I can see a real slow down for 4 to 5 episodes to allow carrie and brodie to reacquiant. I can see the marriage disintegrate further, becoming like the relationship the VP has with his wife.

He only answers a few questions which turn out wrong, but he has the attitude I'm the boss around here why am I doing this. After the few questions theres a commotion outside so he goes out and they don't call him back.

Think Damien Lewis is signed up to a long contract for this.

Some asked is there a mole in the CIA. All of below facts say that there is...

    (1) Somebody told the blond terrorist woman to put the American flag out the window when her boyfriend/husband was being tailed home.

    (2) Someone tipped off tom walker about Saudi Diplomat set up.

    (3) Someone gave the razor blade to prisoner (or was that Brody?)

    (4) Someone tipped off Abu Nazir that codes were in Estes' safe

    (5) Someone tipped off Police to search Saul at airport for SD card

    (6) Someone told Brody that Carrie got ECT (or was that common knowledge?)

Is there any more i have left out?

I thought I read an article with on of the creators on the idea of a mole in the CIA and the fact that they might never show the viewers who it is. It was a while ago and wouldn't know where to look to find it.

I reckon they'll try to pin the hit and run on Dana, further fuelling Brody's hatred of the VP.

That was Estes, and it's common knowledge anyway.

Was away for weekend, so only watched the most recent one yesterday.

Absolutely superb - could be my favourite episode so far. This episode has Emmy all over it!

The interrogation scene between Brody and Carrie was just superb... Damien Lewis and Claire Danes deserve every award they get.

It was a predictable enough outcome but the journey was well worth it!

    (5) Someone tipped off Police to search Saul at airport for SD card

    QUOTE]

If the mole told the police about the SD card then it had to be someone who was in Beirut. Saul did not tell Estes about it till he got back and I presume he wouldn't have told anyone else in CIA headquarters either.
So I'm now thinking the mole is the guy who was with Carrie and Saul in Beirut. He was driving the car and collating the info Carrie took from apartment. Saul told him to go to bed and that's when Saul found the memory card. It'd be reasonable to think that Saul told him of his find.

Yeah my mistake. CIA in Langley had no involvement in knowing Saul had SD card.
It's possible that when the locals or the husband himself searched the apartment they knew what Carrie had taken, and then tipped off police to search Saul

Didn't Carrie just remember that Issa was the kid's name before getting ECT at the end of season one?

I thought nobody else had put that together but the stabby interrogator dude knew it - did I miss a scene where Carrie remembered or where she told other people about it?

As far as I know it was common knowledge that Issa was Nazirs son but what Carrie twigged at the end of season one was that Issa that Brody was shouting about in his sleep was most probably not his guard but Nazirs son hence proving that there was a connection between Brody and Nazir and perhaps the drone strike. She was beginning to tie it all together.

That's certainly what I'd assumed - it was the apartment owner or someone close to him that informed them.

I thought Brody mentioned Isa in his suicide video. I don't actually remember him doing so, but it looked liket Peter was deliberately asking questions so that Brody's answers would contradict everything that was said in the video.

How did that guy get away with stabbing him through the hand? They seemed to brush that off way too easily
