Car Stero : Loose iso connector ?

I have two iso blocks connected to my car radio. All was working fine for months when all of a sudden I have no audio. The radio still works however nothing comes out of the speakers.

I checked and the lower iso block provides power. The top iso block (8 cables) provides audio I'm guessing. If I insert the block fully into the radio I get no sound. If I insert the block at an slight angle as if some of the 8 connectors are not connected, I get audio from both speakers.

Any idea what is wrong? Do I have a loose connection, a short perhaps ?

    Thanks.

This happened me before, I wedged insulating tape into the plug.

If you had a short you would have no sound. What make / brand of stereo do you have
