Robbie, did you not already burn a clutch out in that civic this year?

    original clutch in it
You appear to be the most unlucky motorist in the country.

mileage and heavy stop go stuff... i think when i was thought to drive they didnt really care about some car parts.

so im rethinking my driving style and so on.

You must drive it like ya stole it :P

i thought the average life time was 90K ?

Clutch on my near 12 year old Alfa is still going strong with 80k miles on it too. Now that's saying something if an Alfa is outliving a Honda...:pac:

Why would ye wash your car if you're driving on roads like that? :P

It'd be clean til you left the driveway.

That's the ting, I normally never wash them. Clean the inside and that's it!

I think I'll see how dirty I can leave it :)

I would expect well over 100000 but with a lot of city driving I can understand why it would be lot less than that.

dgt - forget about washing your cars and wash the roads instead. They'd stay cleaner for longer ;)

I will never wash my own car. Can't be bothered with that carry on. Cold, wet and incredibly boring.

I once did work for a dealership where I washed every car at their garage and slicked every tyre or whatever the hell it is. Took me all day as they have quite a large number of cars at any one time.

Hardest manual work I've ever done. :D

I swore after that day I would never lift a sponge again. And I haven't.

Someone else can clean my car, I'll be good and sit in it while they do it, and drive it forward a few feet when they ask me too.

I see what your saying here, but if you wash your car yourself would it not be one of those things where once you have finished. You take a step back and just think "I did that."

What I'm trying to say is, would you not get more satisfaction out of washing your own car?

    Would I feck.

I'm the sort of person that actually hates cars. Like, the way a car works bores the tits off me. This driving to a car park and parking up and looking at cars would bore the tits off me. The idea of spending time cleaning a car, or modifying it is alien to me. I'm certainly no car enthusiast. :pac:

Ironic given I post in motors, but I'm more interested in the non-mechanical law type threads (e.g. learners driving without licenses :P ).

So, all I would feel after washing my own car is cold and wet. :P

    Fair enough. :P
