Limerick Askeaton Broadband poor speed

    This is package being used
    EIRCOM Broadband Home Advanced >> €39.99 / month

    Connection Speed - 7Mb Download/384Kb Upload
    Contention Ratio - 24:1
    Download Limit/Cap - 50GB

    download 0.22 download upload 0.00 ping 3113

    Broadband test result

    after router reset

    Best result I got was 253 ping 0.24 download 0.03 upload

    2 crc on download
    0 crc on upload

    Anyone else having results this poor in the Limerick area?

    Anyone else having results this poor in the Limerick area?

    I live fairly close to you in Kilcoran/Pallaskenry area. My speed is fine.

    40 ping 6.7 down ( 7 meg package) 312 kb upload seriously Eircom increase the damn upload its so bad in this day and age.

    I would check your modem, but the fault is mostly likely on Eircoms end. It usually is 90% of the time.

    Problem solved.
    Phone line was being routed through a APC UPS as a surge protector.
    Put phone line directly in to the router.
    speed improved

    download 3.00 download upload 0.323 ping 45
