Identifying correct coax amongst others

    Hi Folks,

When building my house a few years back my electrician ran multiple coax feeds to multiple locations. Of course the labelling of these wasnt his strong point and they all run back to my study. Now i'd like to add another TV to the mix and was wondering is there an easy way to identify a single coag amongst a bundle of others? (preferably without having to put connectors on every one of them).

    Many thanks

At one end connect the outer shield mesh to the centre core on one of them and get a multimeter and set it to resistance or continuity test mode and touch the probes off the mesh and centre core on the other end to find the one that’s a closed circuit.

At one end of the coax connect (short) the core wire to the braided wire, then try and find the other end by putting a multimeter across the other end of the various other wires.
When you find the right wire the circuit will be completed.
    Double check
