I don't think RVP is stupid enough to celebrate if he scores but I really don't want him to not celebrate. I don't want any acts of kindness because he thinks he still loves the fans. I want him to celebrate and know how much we hate him.

There is so many ways to comprehend this post,I'm confused.

"Jack Wilshere cannot carry this faltering team on his own"

Just a quote from Kevin Palmer in that rag the sunday world, and if you look up 3 inches from that quote you would see that we had 70% possession and 21 shots on goal to QPRs 4 and Jack wasnt even on the pitch when we scored!!!! How is this man in a job what a fooking tool of the highest order!

Faltering team? Did he not even watch the game yesterday!

Because Arsenal are the only team who have calls against them?
Also how has a keeper making good saves anything to with luck?
The bigger teams get more calls for them than Against them.
Arsenal were lucky with the goal today. It's naive to suggest otherwise IMO

You're 3rd line should read "some of the bigger teams". When did we get a penalty at home when we had a few certs denied by referees? Yesterday's goal was the first decision we got in our favour in quite a while from a referee or linesman. We are due a few more decisions in our favour to balance it up.

All fans say the same thing about their team.
Human nature to remember what goes against you.

Given the amount of possession and time we spend in the opposition half/box. Those stats just don't add up for last season, and we haven't got a pen yet this season either and we could have had several. Its not some conspiracy theory, but its fair to say we're due a bit of luck when it comes to refereeing decisions.

It makes total sense but isn't it a sad day for us fans when winning titles, silverware and cup final days out are all now eclipsed by an invitation from UEFA into the champions league due to the money it brings.

and that goes for my beloved Liverpool also who probably can only have the exact same aspirations as Wenger due to the distorted transfer market due to the sugar daddy owners.

Look back on my posts last night on this.
I suggested Arsnenal got lucky with the goal and that you roll with it when it goes your way.
I wasn't begrudging Arsenal that luck.
This came up because another poster said it wasn't lucky because the keeper made several saves.
The keeper is part of the team and its his job to make saves. Nothing to do with luck.

Bit ironic how our defence has been given a hard time by pundits etc in some games and we now have the best defensive record in the league.

If United win today it'll be interesting for next week.

We need to up our game considerably next week from recent performances if were to stand a chance, hopefully the win yesterday along with Wilsheres return will give the team enough of a boost to lift morale.

Agreed. It'll take a monumental effort.... We can always hope! :p

The lads will be seriously fired up for it based on last years result and RvP so I don't think we'll have to worry about them being complacent.

We always do better against teams who want to express themselves, we'll get chances next week I think on the counter.

I'm hoping they do. If they lose they'll be really up for it next week and desperate to win. If they win today, they might not be as up for it giving us a better chance. Obviously they'll still want to win.

Jaysus that's mad. If only we could score more goals AND concede less at the same time.

Yeh im hoping the RVP thing really send them all out there proper fired up for the game, and im not wishing injury before any one has a go but to see him get a nice kicking and United loose would be nice :D.

Crazy aint it the first time in recent history weve really been strugglin for goals and it co-incides with our defence really tightening up we just need to find the perfect balance now , goes to show we do miss that traitor up front and eh Song not so much i always thought he caused more trouble that his assists counted for last season.

they might have the best record but have looked shaky a lot

plus there's this from steward robson when speaking on talksport
"It looked more encouraging at the start of the season but it’s been five to six years and the same thing's happened time and time again," Robson told talkSPORT.

"I hoped that [when Steve Bould was appointed] he would do more with the defence but I'm not sure whether he's being allowed to do that by Arsene Wenger.

"I think there might be a rift in the camp between those two from what I've heard."

from here and here as well

Stewart Robson is a total asshat so I wouldn't pay too much attention to him.

So unless Arsenal's defence are perfect ... and not just best in the league, but actually perfect ... it's going to be a case of looking shaky and 'same old story'.

    Man, how unfair is that?

When it comes to Arsenal lazy journalists will just rehash the normal,

    1. Suspect goal keeper
    2. Weak defense
    3. Over elaborate on the ball
    4. Try to pass it into the net
    5. Physically out played by 'rougher' teams

It's just rehashed week after week by most journalists with no real recent analysis done to see if its still the same.

Usually the team with the least goals conceded are considered the better defense unless its Arsenal!

So did we miss a bullet with this lad, or should we still go for him (for a much reduced fee) in Jan

I'd be happy to leave it up to Arsene's judgement. We signed RvP in similar enough circumstances.

Mike Dean is the ref against Utd. Arsenal have won just one of the last 15 PL games with Dean as the official.

And that one was against Spurs when he and monkeyboy Bale tried to cheat us out of it.

can't remember where i heard about that story now, but didn't think it was mentioned in here. There could be something to it
