Might be useful to some of you wanting to stock up for Xmas

Seems in the tesco express stores all the slabs of beer are €20, not €30 as advertised!

Yesterday i picked up 24 coors and 24 heineken for €40! Saw Bavaria, guiness, miller and the 18 bulmers for the same price too. They also had the single cans of bud carlsberg and kopperberg for €1, so 24 for €24 (was in
Clarehall last nite and they were 24 for €30 so must be just and offer to the smaller stores. It says offer ends 28th on the label (which is today)....

Stock up on them before the Budget puts a stop to the below cost selling.

Whilst this may be the cost of producing it, companies like Heineken have to factor in the costs of advertising etc - supermarkets are selling these goods for below what they are being purchased for in a below cost selling strategy in order to attract consumers to the supermarket and in the hope that they will also purchase other high profit yielding goods alongside alcohol.

I'll take all the beer and wine that they can throw at me for below cost price but leave everything else there. You can't beat Aldi and Lidl or even sometimes Dunnes for good offers. Tesco can be a bit cynical sometimes in their pricing of other goods.
