I got mistaken for Joe Duffy's brother on a ferry to France years ago, ended up getting free pints from Irish Ferries for the entire trip, got sozzled with Joe, he ended up giving me his cabin after he got upgraded, sound man (well he was back then anyhow).

twenty odd years ago, we'd go up to the west end of London at the weekends.
If there was a long queue outside a club, I'd walk up to the bouncers and say I'm getting recognised in the queue any chance of letting us in now.

We done it once for a laugh and it worked so we just tried it again and again...

More often than not they'd let us through - I didn't actually look like anyone, just at the time I looked how Russell Brand looks now.
