Anyone think the red card was a bit harsh, he was lying on the ground.

Not all the player lashed out and you cant retaliate and kick out like that.Straight red end of story!

Wasnt able to watch it myself, How did we play?

Anything encouraging to take from the display apart from the 3 points?

Still didn't play great although was better than the last two. Big plus point is that Jack was very good.

Anyway three points is the important thing for now.

Im not excusing him, i just dont it was that bad, a yellow would have done imo.

From what i saw it looked like he swung his leg hard at Vermaelens knee. Don't really see how it's harsh.

Lucky to get the win but im not complaining. Old trafford next weekend is a daunting task. They need to seriously up their game and sharpen their studs to give RVP a few tackles!!!

Now now, you know how outraged the politically correct bunch around here get when you wish an injury on a player.

Hang on though. I'm rather pleased at the prospect of Gervinho missing a few weeks. Is that OK cause I'm an Arsenal fan?

It's bad form wishing injury on a player (Ryan Shawcross included) but I hope he leaves his scoring boots at home!

Anyone else think Mbia just took a wild swipe at the ball to kick it out of play (just in case the whistle he heard was from the crowd not the ref)? It just seems strange that he would kick out aggressively at that moment. He had just been awarded a handy, and questionable free kick and his team were on course for a unexpected point. Don't see why he would be angry?

On the other hand he might just be an idiot.

Not a vintage performance by any stretch of the imagination, but plus points Sagna coming back in and swinging in some dangerous crosses along with looking solid in defence, Wilshere coming back and easing all our fears and looking just as good as he was before he got injured :), and Walcott coming on offered us more of threat on the wing than slow it down Ramsey.

Another poor performance but at least we got 3 points even with a dogdy off-side goal.
There is something wrong with the mentality of the team at the moment.
We have some really poor players and surely after the last month Wenger and the Board have to realise that. Just not good enough.

Only saw the last 10 minutes. A few minutes later we got the winner. Talk about getting out of jail against the team bottom of the table. A win is a win though. Well done Arsenal and welcome back Jack. Well done Arteta. The way he turned his head to head on to the crossbar was brilliant awareness.

Didn't get to watch it in the end, delighted to hear Jack played well even if the team performance wasn't great. Hope he gets a run out against REading on Tuesday now too. Nice to see us sitting in 4th place at the moment, need to pull the socks up a bit to get a result against United though.

Its time for Walcott to be given a chance up front

Arteta was offside. Not his fault the officials didn't spot it but Arsenal were Lu ky today IMO

I actually think himself and Giroud could form a decent partnership, play Walcott in the hole with the big man to play off & hold up the ball for him. Couldn't see Walcott being any good as a lone striker though.

I thought the same but I seen the ball was played off Ramsey rather than played by Ramsey. Does that make a difference?

Lucky maybe, your forgetting about 3 world class saves there keeper made so I say we just about deserved it

Also thought Ramsey was very good today his work rate is unreal

Slight concern is how bad Santi was while jack was playing but I reckon they will iron it out

Just seen highlights and it showed about 10 chances for Arsenal with only the 1 for QPR. Was it really that one sided in terms of chances? If so, it's a good sign but wont mean anything against the likes of Man United. Saying that, we played well against City and were very unlucky against Chelsea. A bit of luck and we might be able to get something next weekend.

A keeper is part of the team. I don't see why that has anything to do with luck

He was still offside because it came from an Arsenal player.
It's luck and you just roll with it when it goes your way.

Basically we had enough chances to win the game we weren't lucky we deserved it

I thought the same myself but wasn't sure if it wasn't given because it came in to Arteta from a deflection of a QPR players attempted clearance.

he's not going to be playing against reading according to wenger, & he doesn't know about next weekend
on whether he can play regularly now…
I don't know - we have to see how he responds. After such a long time out, it goes a bit up and down. What is good is that he got kicked today and had no problem. The rest will come with the games. Now, after a game like that, I will certainly not play him on Tuesday [against Reading in the Capital one Cup]. Will I play him next week? I don't know.

    HI ALL.

i went to see arsenal play at the emirates. great atmosphere and was surprised wilshere started. he was a cut above the rest though and still nowhere near his best. he will be our rvp/henry/fabregas player ie the man we rely on.

he is just world class. will become as good as iniesta/xavi one day.

Back to the game we played with more urgency and belief but still lacked some spark.

Santos was SHOCKING in the first half. he played as a bloody left winger leaving our defence with a back line of 3. QPR kept attacking santos's side and he was nowhere to be seen. Plus he tried to do daft skills in the ****ing left side of our half for some stupid reason.

Total fool he is but he upted his game and played better in second half staying in defence.

Ramsey had a bright start to the game. did well as a right winger but faded in the 2nd half.

Wilshere came off and walcott on to spice things up and ramsey moving central and we did well. Sagna and walcott linked up really well providing some fantastic dangerous crosses(one led to the goal).

Sagna is miles better then Jenkinson. fantastic defender and a winger too.

Carzola missed a sitter. he was poor today. so poor that even Ramsey played better then him.

Girud worked hard. he played great. kept the ball well, won 9/10 of the headers and worked his socks off. great job.

We got lucky at the end. QPR went all out attack while our defence fell asleep offering QPR golden chances. they had 2 one on ones!

overal a great game. FANTASTIC atmosphere and thats £50 well spent! i am no longer a armchair fan :)

I don't think RVP is stupid enough to celebrate if he scores but I really don't want him to not celebrate. I don't want any acts of kindness because he thinks he still loves the fans. I want him to celebrate and know how much we hate him.

So it wasn't luck that the officials missed the offside?

Nope plenty of calls go against us I never blame bad luck won't say it was good luck when one goes our way

    We deserved that win just

Because Arsenal are the only team who have calls against them?
Also how has a keeper making good saves anything to with luck?
The bigger teams get more calls for them than Against them.
Arsenal were lucky with the goal today. It's naive to suggest otherwise IMO

Not a great performance by any means, but 3 points and a clean sheet are all that matters really.

Wilshere and Sagna were the 2 big plusses, Santos the big minus. The amount of space given to Wright-Phillips and Bosiingwa was criminal. He's not even as effective as Gibbs going forward. Any chance he'll be back for Man U. We will really suffer if we have the Brazilian in our defence next Sunday.
