    Poor Joe xx

A walk isn't the worst idea you know. Could blow your cobwebs out.

    Usually have a cry-****.

To be fair, I'm rarely alone these days anyway. No cry-**** for me.

Enjoy my own company as best I can and think how lucky I am not to be trapped down a mine.

I like to go Doon Toon myself...

If you're feeling alone then, logically, talking to other people about it is the thing to do.

If I'm bummed out I usually listen to music, draw, write about it etc. All great art is born out of suffering, etc. :P

Going for a walk in a quiet setting helps too :)

Try running.when i'm restless and have things on my mind I go for a run with my iPod listening to good playlist.as the miles build up behind me,my mind zones out and when I'm finished I feel much better.I call it the 'forest gump' technique!it does wonders for the mind and a great by product is that you get fitter.
I was always told you should never run away from your problems. Also whenever I run I feel like something is chasing me. Wait, and I meant I only run when something
    is chasing me

For ages I thought something was chasing me too.
Turns out it was just my shadow.
You should run at night - solves that problem.

Some great advise there joe and if I may summarise it seems you should go running naked while masturbating and listening to your iPod somewhere there are a lot of other people around. Can't see how it can fail to be honest .

You know, sometimes its not funny to try to be funny on threads like this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,971 ✭✭✭Orim

And sometimes someone trying to be funny can make all the difference in the world.

I'd agree Chucken but OP said he'd like some funny replies, hopefully some have been just that, in his eyes at least.

I am almost always alone, so to suggest what to do might be natural to me but not to you... so a good compromise could be... get a few cans, get drunk and give hell to internet idiots.. thats my hobby

Hope you're feeling okay today Joe. :)

Right now I feel like crap. There's work that needs to be done but I'm both too stupid to be capable of finishing it to a passing grade and too depressed to have the energy to even try. There's basically no one to really talk with, confession will only make things worse and shit's pretty bleak. I'm like that other rabbit in the Energizer ads.

This is here instead of PI because After Hours gives better advice, plus it's funnier which is nice.

    So what do you do?

Either crack one out, listen to some tunes, chow down on a bit of food, make some music, or hang out with some friends.

Or all at the same time.

    Invoke Satan.
Get him to play you some tunes.
Satan has all the best tunes.

Only joking. I hope you're ok today.

I hope you're ok too Joe.

No matter what, just keep ploughing in through, the good times will come eventually.

I actually thought it was quite smart of you to lie on the floor for an hour and do nothing - I had to pay hundreds of euros to a woman on a yoga retreat for her to teach me exactly that - and after 5 days of it - I felt really good. So there must be something in it that works (but that's not that in suggesting you do that all the time, only for an hour when you need it!).

Thinking of you anyway dude :)

Even better, sing Nirvana! Don't know the lyrics? Neither do they!

Listen to Nickelback...everything is so much better when they stop. :pac:

Can you read their thoughts? *dons tinfoil balaclava

@BPJ: The fact you came back proves you never really went away.

Just flail away on the keyboard in a stream of consciousness kind of way and that critical whatchamacallit will basically write itself. Getting in a reference to your teeth being radio-sensitive coundn't hurt.

I find the night makes it worse, everyone is asleep and it makes you feel more alone. Make the most of the sunlight, go out, socialize.
