anyone using the vel-phone text calving system

    anyone on here using the vel-phone text calving system saw it on you tube seems to be a great job but very expensive to install...It sends a text to your mobile when the cow starts to calve ....If it saves a few calves it would be cheap....Would like some reviews on it before i would purchase by the way it costs 3500 euro thats for the unit and ten probes and the probes are reusable after you disinfect them thanks in advance....

    Sounds like a lot of money but as you say, if it works... I will probably stick with the old-fashioned way for the time being though.

    Without meaning to sound condescending, Do you really need the system? Do you lose many calves due to not noticing cow's calving?

    a ptz camera system wod be better roughly 1200 installed.
