Plan a recording more than an hour before on Amiko Alien 2

    Does anyone know if it is possible to plan a recording for say the soaps for the next 7 days or so on the Amiko Alien 2 or even plan a recording more than an hour in advance? as the satellite channels have only got a now & next on the EPG but the terrestrial have a 7 day EPG... :confused:

    Hi,

    When in EPG , one of the coloured buttons allows you to change to 7 Day epg.

    I have not set any recordings as yet,so let us know how you get on.

    no mate didn't seem to see anything to give me a 7 day EPG on the english channels, all the rte's n tv3 n that have a 7 day EPG but not the satellite channels, which is baffling me a little bit as I don't understand why they havn't? if anybody else could shine some light on the situation would be great!:confused:

    Only 'Now and Next' info is broadcast for the FTA channels on 28E. To get a 7 day EPG, you need a plugin which can read either the Freesat or Sky EPGs. AFAIK the plugin normally used for this on Enigma2 boxes (CrossEPG) has not been ported over to Spark firmware.

    So which plugin do you reccomend for me to install on Spark for a 7 day EPG?

    cheers for the help mate, and while i have you here quick question do i use DCC to install plugins on my amiko alien 2 or what exactly is it for?? completly new to all this.
