I was considering taking it up, but it turns out the money is very poor.

You gotta love a world where the fireman gets less in money than the council man who sends the invoice.

Joe should be propping up a bar sighing and moaning into his pint instead of doing it on the radio and getting a massive salary.

I was thinking of that when I was writing the comment, It's always the few and not our little johnny, but surely the majority could control the minority..I'll supply free baseball bats:D

Couple of months ago a young fella I know (17) was on the Luas and same thing happened. Unfortunately for the muggers they weren't to know that he'd just returned from the World Kempo Karate Championships. He still has his phone.

    I like stories like this.

Actually that would be a good book. SImilar to "Over heard in Dublin". "Give us your phone" is an endearing collection of stories told about people whose phone have been requested by common school urchins and they have respectfully declined. A popular one is, "Give us your phone or we'll stab you in the chest", "No, im an undercover policeman, under my shirt is a 9mm pistol and a stab proof vest. please f**k off or I will shoot you in the bollock, resulting in a lifetime of being horny, but also a lifetime of being unable to get it up".

Yes I agree. I regretted writing the damn thing soon after knowing I'd be thinking exactly that if I weren't the author. In fact I know two teenagers who were at the same championships only the one with the medal lives down my way.
