What are yours?

In the days before internet porn, Eurotrash was the best thing around. I was 13 or 14 when I first heard about it. Mate of mine who was a renowned bullsh*tter started going on about a tv show where a girl had "Tits the size of beach balls". Naturally I didn't believe him, but still had to check it out, on the off chance it was true. Watched it once and Jaysus was I hooked. Never doubted him again

. These are some of my best memories:

Watching it with one hand on the remote, ready to switch channel when someone came into the room. Used to always switch to Sky News cos that was "safe". Except one time my Mam walked in, I quickly switch to Sky and by some absolute fluke they were doing a report on teenagers watching porn.
Recording it for watching later. I got an old VHS tape of a football match and recorded an episode or 2 after the match. Then I'd rewind the tape and label it "Man Utd 0-0 Liverpool" so no one would ever watch it.
One time I was over at a mates house and we were watching tv in his kitchen, which was showing the feed from their skybox located in another room. His (rather conservative) mum was in the kitchen too and was making some comment about the show we were watching when all of a sudden the channel switches over to Channel 4 and its showing a girl measuring fellas d*cks with a measuring tape. Turns out his sister was a fan of the show too!

So folks, who else secretly watched Eurotrash? Were you ever caught? What are your memories of the show?

I liked when Antoine dressed up as Prince Charles with the ears and teeth. The Romeo cleaners also had me in stitches because they were so skinny and always looked freezing wherever they were.

Peepee and Poopoo the puppets were pretty funny too.

I remember a segment about a fishmonger who worked nude in his shop. He was an aul lad in his 50s or so and going on about how he started it because he was tired of his clothes smelling of fish. He said business had improved since he started the nude thing, as his customers appreciated the whole naturism thing.

Er................I think it may have had more to do with the fact that his hot 18 year old daughter also worked naked there

Just the 90s? I was watching this as my own source of porn when I was 11 in the noughties!

Back then when you'd change the channel the image would stay on screen for a second and wouldn't go blue until the next channel was on.

I remember when we had NTL before sky I'd make sure to change the channel twice because if you hit the yellow button after changing eurotrash, it'd go right back to it.

There was a thrill in playing Russian roulette with the sky remote, unlike fapping away to your phone in your room like nowadays :P

Yeah Eurotrash was the mainstay of teenage friday night fappage, long before kids of a similar age had the money to spend the evening drinking vodka in their friend's gazebos.......

I fondly remember it for that of course, but to widen the discussion, what other outlets of TV filth mongering do people remember from the pre internet age?

As someone who was 15 in 1990, Channel 4 was king, apart from Antoines and Jean Paul, you had racy american sitcom Dream On (which was actually very funny), various documentaries on all things filthy, famously they ran a Banned Season which contained all sorts of titillation. The Word was also a good source of naked hedonism

On a classier note, BBC2 were usually good for an adult french movie of a Sunday night, or they would have showed bold films like Henry and June long before Irish TV would dare.

My first recollection of it was back in the 90's and I do remember one oepisode where they televised a man getting a penus enlargement, it was gross watching all the fat getting pumped in, was very odd looking bent like a banana when finished. well it was better than the two inches he had in the first place, wouldnt mind but his missus was hot with big babylons.

Remember the Red Light Zone, 1994 or 95 I'd say that was - several hours of potential titilation every Friday night which unfortunately rarely lived up to the hype. I used to tape it and fast forward through it to find any good bits which there rarely were.

Eurotrash was good - plenty of funny and good bits. I still have some of it on tape. Tapes used to get passed around in school.

The Word - often failed to live up to expectations but had the occasional good bit. Eg the singer of L7 dropping her trousers on live TV and the "never seen before on TV" Pamela Anderson Playboy video. IIRC this showing of the playboy video had been hyped up in the previous week's programme and there was a great deal of excitement about it in my school. VCR remotes at the ready!

The Girlie Show - not a whole lot of titilation but I still liked it, they had the "Wanker of the Week" and the "Naked Apes". David Hasselhoff and Shane Ritchie were two of the ****

French films - the two that I remember were Last Tango in Paris and Betty Blue.

If I recall, some of the tabloid press referred to the head of Channel 4 at the time as "pornographer in chief"
