i wouldnt touch them - tankardstown & millhouse are both nearby and much better.

I did a couple of weddings here recently and liked it but not a big enough space for both band and dj unless you use the marquee. I wouldn't agree that the mill house is better but tankardstown is although much more expensive in sure. They also let music continue till 3 am!
Also having stayed as a guest on two occasions the food and accommodation is lovely.

Yeah I agree I think its nicer than Millhouse. Tankardstown too expensive.
Just wanted to see any new updates/opinions on it I've read whats on here already.

Got married in Bellinter house last summer.
Loved it. Don't know those other places so can't compare.
The food in Bellinter was really good, which was one of our big concerns.
The setting is fantastic and you have the whole place to yourselves for the duration which was great.
The staff are all friendly and the bar is a late bar as standard.

I have been to a wedding there and stayed in one of the rooms in the main house. was very diappointed with it, needs a lot of TLC seems to be run down and food was good but felt staff were not very friendly at all. the room in the main house was expensive and we got very little sleep with pipes all night, so would not recommend.

Yeah I've been there and while the food was good its very grubby. The chairs ROTC looked like they hasn't been cleaned in ages.

I am getting married there soon. It seems to be a place that is either for you or not.

For us, the layout suited what we wanted for the after meal celebration. A relaxed kind of house party atmosphere.

Again - each to their own.

I was at a wedding in it earlier in the year, I stayed in one of the converted stable rooms.

Food - it was nice, but there wasnt nearly enough of it!! I was still hungry after dinner and then there wasnt enough food to go round at the afters food so I got nothing. I dont ever remember being so hungry at a wedding before.

Its grand, but it is what it is, dont really see it as any kind of stand out location tbh.

I got married here, food is good, service on the night was good. Rooms are nice, but the manager is a nightmare to deal with if youve any problems. I think the attitude of their management lets them down, it makes what could be an amazing venue a beautiful venue a risky venue

Yep EveT I agree. We decided not to go with them in the end. Could be an amazing venue but there was no budging on anything and felt we would have problems with them going forward.
