Blown air heater for a T25? Complete newbie, please help!

Hi guys,
we just bought ourselves a lovely '81 T25 last week, the only thing missing from her is a heater and we desperately want to take her on a few missions over the winter/spring! We got a little plug in oil heater with her but we're not really into the camp site thing, we'd only really interested in wild camping so I don't think we have much choice about installing an air blown heater right? I'm wondering has anyone any tips or know any suppliers that would be good to buy one from? We've only found suppliers in England and you're looking at 550 sterling before you even factor in shipping and installation :eek: We're complete newbies to vans so any advice would be very much appreciated, thanks!

Is your T25 a diesel engined model? if so, you can pick up second hand Eberspacher heaters quite reasonably on ebay.co.uk
Usuallu removed from Municipal or Power company vehicles. I got one for out 87 T25 2 years ago, and its pretty good, installed it myself. You need a good battery to get these running, but they draw minimal current afterwards. Our van is petrol, so had to rig up a seperate tank, which is a right pain. Iver in cavan

Eberspacher is pretty noisy you'll need intake and exhaust silencer so as not to annoy everyone around you imo, propex probably works out a bit cheaper for the overall kit new. Propex ones go for as little as £150 on ebay.co.uk depending on how patient you are, should be easy to get one for £250.

+1 for cosy classics
I bought the propex from him last January for a T2 project and he is an honest gent.

Its a bit of work to do, took me 5 hours with some help but it is definitley doable.
