Thought it would be cheaper since it's not that rare. There's one going for 50 dollars now, didn't check if there was postage to ireland.

Hmm, seems they've gotten a bit more affordable...not too many for sale either. How much does the Everdrive work out at?

I got mine (Super Everdrive) for €87 including delivery for a seller in Spain (via ebay.ie), bought a couple of everdrives from him without any hassle.

The fancier sd2snes is more expensive but has a bunch of features I've no interest in so got the cheaper everdrive.

Make sure you get one with the extra chip in it that allows you to play stuff like Mario Kart and Pilotwings, there'sa good few games that are worth playing that require it.

I had a look at Krizz's website, didn't see anything about different versions of it. Are they standard with the special chip now?

By default the don't ship with the DSP-1 chip in it, you've to pay extra for it or harvest it from another cart.

Here's the list of games requiring enhancement chips

Playing through it once was enough. Didn't really like it the first time.

Wait until you experience it with the Oculus Rift, you'll be living the mediocrity.

Why are they selling it again?
I mean, I have it on the Xbox already, why do I need it again?

I've seen videos of what the dev unit looks like. It's nothing like the renders they have up on the site, its make of wood, cardboard, duct tape and all sorts.
But it works and that's the main thing I suppose.

I wanted some friendly discussion about Doom 3 and this is what I get?

    tysonreaction.gif

At least Retro didn't give a snarky putdown when discussing it.

I just want to say I enjoyed it on the Xbox, still have my steel book edition.

Now, given Retr0 and his opinion of my taste in FPS, this will bring him out swinging!

The weirdest thing happened today, tried out the Ntsc Snes and the picture was all distorted, Kerbdog was on hand and started checking the av connections but with no result.
I checked my other consoles and they were fine!
    Nooooo! Said I.
Then he tried the psu on the next socket over, bam!
It was the spurious psu that was powering the Famicom, even though the machine was off the psu was drawing power and whatever it was doing it was interfering with the adjacent av cable from the Super Nintendo.
    Crisis averted!

    Argh!!!!

So I decided to give Blade Runner the big screen treatment this evening. Really enjoyed it...then the end credits came up.

'Wait a minute...I've heard this tune before'

Yep folks, when you think you've finally, FINALLY noticed every game which takes something from Blade Runner, another one pops up.

How I never noticed this before is beyond me, as it's incredibly obvious. Maybe you guys have noticed before...this is a new one to me. Mind - blown.

    Listen to Scrap Brain Zone

Now listen to the end theme of Blade Runner By Vangelis.

    It's the same bloody song!!!

On further inspection, it seems like a comparison has already been done on youtube :D

First a Rick Roll in Chrono Trigger and now Scrap Brain Zone isn't an original tune.

My world has been turned upside down.
