Email campaign regarding Irish language in Tesco

An email campaign has been started on Facebook to pressurise Tesco to improve the status of the Irish language in their stores, after they recently removed almost all the Irish from their signs inside their shops. This is in the context of Tesco improving their bilingual services in their shops in Wales and making corporate statements such as the following:

“We in TESCO fully realise that people like to shop locally and that is why we ensure that there is a ‘local’ feel to all our shops. In Wales, this naturally means that we offer services in Welsh, brand ourselves accordingly and have bilingual signage and self scan tills. Where possible, we also have Welsh speaking staff.”
