I just had a Skip-Sandwich (Rye), one of the most underwhelming combinations yet.

Last week I went for Meanies on Batch and it was an eye-watering feast.

    Any recommendations, dos and don'ts?

    Best: None.
    Worst: See Above.

Am I the only one who hates crisp sandwiches?

Chickatees on bread = food of the poultry-flavoured gods.

    You're welcome.

King is king! But any brand really, and most flavours..apart from ready salted....such a waste of crisps!

I'm tempted to say that King taste "stronger" and Tayto have a more subtle charm, but it's possibly all a mental thing. Somebody needs to conduct a blind taste test.

King. That's why they're called King.

As above but add some grated cheese and pepper, served with a cup of tea.

    Best: King
Worst: Monster Munch/Popcorn if that counts as crisps.

If we allow Popcorn then some lunatic will come in and suggest salted peanuts.

For the record: Peanuts are great on an Asian-style wrap, like Tofu and Sweet Chili.

They were the business. Savage crisps.

    Not Hula Hoops. Too painful.

    Hasta be the potato crisp.

Cheese and Onion. Smokey Bacon. Prawn Cocktail.

Tayto have lost my loyalty due to inconsistency.

Chuck scream if crips too hard.

Why am I writing in a list?

meanies are surprisingly good in a sandwich.

Tayto in a sandwich, King on it's own.

King are lighter in texture than Tayto and have that lingering aftertaste. Tayto are nice every now and then, but Kings rule!

I was once held up at the Canadian border entering the US, trying to explain crisp sandwiches. They couldn't understand the concept. Had to wait for approval to bring them in.

They were Lays by the way, a poor man's Tayto.
