Alternative scene in Dublin?

Any places in Dublin with small alternative gigs? I like those kind of concerts with 3 or 4 local bands. If that's not frequent, any recommendation with some alternative music played by DJs would be nice as well. I'm into alternative/indie/rock/punk even some metal. My musical spectre is quite ample.

Admittedly I'm not completely familiar with the scene in Dublin but The Pint on Eden Quay and King Kong Club on Dame St sounds like it would suit what you're looking for.
