    Hey,
This exhibition caught my eye. It's on this weekend. Does anyone have any idea of what they trade? I'm into ancient coins, so wouldn't be worth my while heading up to Dublin if they hadn't any on offer.

    Thanks.

I was also wondering about this, is it open to general public or trade only?

If it's the IADA one at the RDS, I think you're unlikely to find tat like coins soiling their elite Fair - but I could be wrong. Details here: http://www.iada.ie/

Or is it this? http://www.rds.ie/cat_event_detail.jsp?itemID=1099443 A strange organisation which never promotes its events but is open to the public as far as I know. Try ringing the contact number. :)

Einhard, you do know about the Coin fair at the RDS on the 12 13 14th?

I didn't Blade. I knew there was on at some stage in the Autumn, but not when. They don't seem to promote it that well. Or maybe it's just me! Thanks anyway.

EDIT: Just checked the RDS site, and can't find anything about a coin fair. :(

No, you're right, they don't promote it at all. It's like they're trying to keep it a secret for society members only. I'm half expecting them to ask me for the secret handshake the next time I walk through the door. I'd hate to be paying for a stall at it.

I just searched the RDS website and the coin and stamp fair is listed as a 'show within a show' of the 'Over 50s Show'.

Not much chance of anyone under 50 finding that!

That's absolutely ridiculous. I'm interested in actually buying some coins, and yet they make me jump through hoops just to find out when they're gonna sell them! And then I have to pay a tenner just for the privilege. Pretty dumb if you ask me.

Thanks for the heads up though. Anyone going?

I wonder if they do a student rate for the over-50s exhibiton!:pac:

Entrance fee will be a fiver AFAIK. Yeah I'll be going, probably the first day before any potential bargains might be swiped up.
