What the most interesting job/career an average person could have could have the sort of career thats endlessly fascinating and has lot of variety.

There are lot of interesting jobs in the world I'd say being president of the US is an interesting job but not something the average person in Ireland could aspire to....

Architect for eccentrics. You'll likely always stay an architect without progressing to a job as a meeting-goer & email sender and as long as you had a good supply of eccentrics to design buildings for you wouldn't be bored because being eccentrics they just wouldn't be happy with an off the shelf bungalow bliss or celtic tiger house

Working in Formula 1. Being part of a great sport. The cars. The glamour. Travelling the world for 9 months of the year to places like Monaco, Melbourne, Singapore, Silverstone, etc.

It's not all glamour you know, I once got this job, was delighted. First day I went in and was (literally) so excited. Got the 'Monsignor' out and was already to plough some tasty gee when out came a porn actor with a hard on and I was told I had to **** him off. Well I was confused and asked my boss what all this was about and his reply was, "Like most jobs sonny Jim, you have to work a week in hand....."

    :P

    Yes I did.

I know 2 guys who work as engineers with Williams. You do know Formula 1 isnt just made up of the 24 drivers? There's hundreds of mechanics/engineers/trainers/etc that travel to all the races. And with a lot of the teams based in the UK many Irish people have worked in the sport.

Higher reaches of the Civil Service. You get to exert lots of control on the country, while manipulating the person who happens to be the minister of whatever department you really control. You have true power, and you might also get to act like Malcolm Tucker.
