Maybe it's because the posters (and mods) are fairly sure his family or anyone that knew him, won't be reading threads on boards.

Also, if he laid down in front of a moving vehicle, did he not commit suicide?

We dont know if he committed suicide.

So the only reason posters/mods give out/delete about puns and jokes about a dead person, is that they fear some of the family of the decesed might read it????

Maybe I should just start a thread about this issue I have with double standards in after hours, as Im going off topic right now. But most of the posts already in this thread are cracking gags.

Inmyday, why get so worked up about it? Seriously, if the comments in this thread are affecting you so badly don't read it.

No matter what you say here will change how people contribute to stories such as this....

    Yeah youre right.
But Im mainly worked up about the double standard, thats all.

"Poor nevin spence. But fcuk the flat chinese man".

I dont give a sh/te what people say here, at the end of the day the man is dead. He is hardly worried about a thread in AH on boards.ie

But tea, you shouldn't read things that you know will offend you. Better for the health to steer clear!

Just as well he wasn't Pakistani, he'd be a flat-pak. Disgraceful how this is not being taken seriously, it could be us next, if we flew to China and laid in front of a steamroller.

No no, I dont think you know what I mean, Im not offended by any of it really. Just want to know why the double standard is ok in after hoursm with the mods, and us irish people in general.
Some of the puns and jokes would be very funny, if it wasnt so serious, as some man being crushed to death.

I thanked your funny post, are you happy?
I especially liked the part about the Pakistani.
I wonder would you actually say that to a Pakistani person.

You cant stand in the way of progress. The government owns the land your house is on . In Ireland people take the government for 5 times the value of the house when the government need it for a road. A chap at ballymun got crazy money for a small patch of land he had a caravan on . The chinese dont take that **** .
Also is there any proof this was the story the dailymail like to buy pictures and make up the story like a 3 year old pretending he can read.

Ya know what I hate. That if a celeb dies, or if someone in Ireland dies. Everyone has to say "RIP" "Condolences" in after hours.
    !

Nope. Some celebs you can dive in on. There was no shortage of " it's a publicity stunt" and general mocking when it was announced Jade Goody had terminal cancer.

This is one of the most horrific things I have ever read. I can't even joke about it.

So he refused to move or co-operate and then they slowly drove a big roller at him and he still didn't move. Sound like a serious Darwin Award contender to me.

Chinese government seems to have a well documented disregared for human life. Armed with that knowledge I wont be standing in front of anything of theirs big enough to kill me. Seems simple logic to me.

I see parallels it seems the larger the population; the giving of less of a sh!t do you ever think they just get sick of the sight of each other.. particularly where they look like each other

I reckon the world over has a disregard for chinese life, due to there just being a crazy amount of em. The gulf between how I'd not particularly like to be seen out with one yet particularly like to be seen in one is staggering

I live with a guy from Pakistan. He's been trying to lose a bit of a belly this last while but he's always making excuses to get out of going to the gym so now we call him fat-pak :D

Not to worry, we have people here to do that for you. Wouldn't say it to a Pakistani face to face:D Don't know me so. I'd say it to a Vicar. Any way, Chin up!, which is probably the last thing yer man heard as well.

I wonder what the mitigating circumstances could be that would justify this mans gruesome murder at the hands of the Chinese government?

This story has not reached main stream media yet and no doubt it will.

Every so often a shocking story like this leaks out from China, about six months ago it was the child run over by two trucks. This is just as shocking in that it was authorised by the state. The Victims family were even offered compensation to try and keep a lid on it but the story has seemingly gone out.

A villager in northern China attempting to resist a forced government relocation by remaining on his land was brutally crushed to death by a road flattening truck on the orders of a Chinese government official.

The story, which was censored in China’s state controlled media, has caused outrage amongst users of Weibo, the Chinese version of Twitter, given it’s horrifying similarity to what happened to student protesters who were crushed to death by tanks during the Tiananmen Square protests in 1989.

The victim, He Zhi Hua, refused to accept a paltry payment from the government which has forcefully evicted Changsha Village locals in order to re-appropriate their land for commercial use.

When Hua began a protest by lying down on the spot through which construction vehicles had to pass, the local Vice Mayor ordered workers for the state-owned company to murder Hua by driving over his body with a huge road-flattening truck.

Shocking images show Hua’s pulverized brains and his mangled body in the aftermath of the state-sponsored execution.

Fearing unrest if the story got out to a wider audience, the government sent in 200 men to keep angry locals at bay and hide the remains of the body. The man’s family was offered a sum of money in order to keep quiet about the incident.

That other lad did stand in front of the line of tanks near Tiananmen Square and they didn't roll over him (though the authorities probably shot him later). Maybe this guy expected the same from the steamroller.

Jaysus, that's a grand handy way of thinking about stuff. He wouldn't move so drive over him and kill him. Lovely!
