Thoughts on team for tomorrow? I think we should go with this:
    Mannone
    Jenko Kos Verm Gibbs
    Diaby Arteta
    Gervinho Cazorla Podolski
    Giroud

I think Mertasacker has done great so far this year but Koscielny Is better equiped to deal with Aguero and tevez imo. I think Its a tough call between dropping Giroud and playing Gervinho up front with Chamberlain or Walcott on the wing.

I think he's leave the back 4 as they are, otherwise the same team as you.

But we have a game in hand! :D

Tomorrow should give us a good indication of how we're going - I think City are there for the taking. Not a hammering of course - but sneaking it by a goal if we can keep our heads at the back.

Definitely a game we can win. City havent kept a clean sheet so far and we're solid at the back. Actually looking forward to this one.

I'm just worried about Mertesacker vs Tevez/Aguero. Yes Mert has been good but he is just not suited against those players. Just look how easily Suarez rounded him in the Pool game, Aguero and Tevez will punish you for those mistakes. So I'm hoping Koscielny will play.

Maybe a sneaky 2-1 to the gunners!

That would be a big problem, need a leader for this game for when things get tough.

    Verm out apparently with flu.

Not too worrying though. Kos will do fine.

Loss of the teams leader but Kos can more than do a job.

The loss of Vermaelen is a big blow. Kos is a brilliant replacement, but I'd be much happier if he was replacing Mertersacker.

Regardless who he is replacing and even though he is in my opinion our best defender
He has played 0 mins this season and its not a game I'd like to see any player with 0 mins start, esp a centre back

Very hard on Verm that, what with him being captain and all.

Not sure I can do Quinn for 90 minutes. They shouldn't av him for City or Sunderland games

    He's sick apparently.

Oh well that makes more sense. Wonder would Wenger have dropped Mert today otherwise?

Just to go ahead and piss on everyone's parade, 9 points from 5 matches, we got 10 from the corresponding fixtures last season. :pac:

Unbeaten still and close to the top. Very happy at the minute.

Could have won today if a certain someone was more clinical but still a decent result and keeps the momentum going.

Thought we were very good today
Surely people will shut up about per today outstanding

Great result for us today. Took the game to them at the end and got the goal for it. Not an easy place to go an take points, so at least we managed 1.

I fancy our chances against Chelsea next week after today for sure.

Great result and performance for me.
We aren't getting brushed aside by the Champions with only 2 goals conceded.
    Very happy.

Happy with the result, delighted with the performance overall. We look and feel physically and mentally strong. Thought Ramsey and Kos were excellent, wud have been unimaginable at the start of last season to think we'd 3 quality centre backs, Mert was quality again today. Gerv was poor Diaby lazy at times but other than that everyone played really well.

If Jenkinson can sort out his distribution from the back he could grow into a quality right back.

More I see this team the more confident I get the drought is ending.
