For me, it has to be a woman (wimminz) looking at her watch. You don't even know what she's going to say, but, you know it isn't going to be complimentary.

Jesus yea. I didn't really grow up with family but there were lots of other kids around and I remember having to put your hand out for the smack across the knuckles and if you pulled away you got another one.
I was a little bollocks (perhaps still am...) too and sometimes drove them to use the belt, now that was scary! I used to run but you can't get away

(This would only be from time to time now, reading over that there it's sounding like a victim! It was mostly well deserved) Shure it did us no harm :)

Staff night out on Friday night

Wake up Saturday morning in bed on my own, that's fine

But can't remember coming home so spend all Saturday worrying over the night

Convincing myself I did something stupid

By Saturday evening stressed over things that never even happened

Dreading coming to work by Monday morning

The piercing shriek of your Ma calling your name to get out of your cosy nest-bed on a cold, wet winter morning to go to the education camp.

    Bone chilling.

Spending the rest of my life behind the same desk doing the same shít everyday.

Not saying I don't want to have a career or anything but I don't want to end up in situation where my options are effectively reduced to zero due to debt or some such.

As well as that the idea of being in an accident and becoming completely paralysed scares the crap out of me too.

People, most often ladies, in Burkas, wtf are they hiding?

Watching the sea split in half and some guy with a staff walking through the middle... that would do the trick alright.

Possibly bearded faces that feature on many of the FBI's wanted posters?

It's dark, you're in your room. You're barefoot and know there's an upturned plug somewhere on the floor...

    Yore Ma :pac:

Seriously though, when the missus calls me David instead of Dave... I don't know exactly what but I've done something wrong!

When we were 6-7 years old, and we were still messing in the bedroom around 8:30 (waaay past our bedtime). Dad would come in, hang his belt on the door, then leave. Worked every time....

When an uppity, middle-aged woman comes into the shop you work in.

You just know she's going to demand satisfaction.

What things put the fear of God into you?

The idea that there is a God.
If he/she is real, they're a sadistic maniac who can't be stopped.
