Ah yeah, sure that whole the but of the joke. I fail to see the offense in it. Besides, it was a general joke...it wasn't directed at any one poster or individual. I guess not everyone seen it that way though.

Exactly. I quite often got ribbed about modding everything & anything. You simply find a weakness in a poster, usually Retr0, and pass the slagging on. If we all were to get offended here & get upset...this place would be pretty sterile. The whole charm of this little forum is that its basically the digital equivalent of sitting at a bar with your mates & having a bit of crack0 -

It did occur to me but I am sensing some sort of change in the atmo' round these parts and didn't want to chance it.
Look, it's all for a laugh.
99% of abuse is directed at Retr0 anyhow and he/she never complains, or at least as a mod I can edit his posts so it looks like he never complains!
Besides, I take all your "old man" jibes in good form and will promise to kill you quickly as a sign of my continued affection....
Of course it may not be as quick as previous years, can't swing a crowbar like I used to!

Well, was not my intention to upset anyone at all.
It was a bit of fun.
To be honest the thread itself was relatively serious, as in a place for those expecting something stellar and wanting to preserve the surprise, keeping the main "something new thread" for the more traditional.
And, I was wracking my brain to think of people who fell into the category of GET fans.
Steve's name came to mind, erroneously as it happens, but I am shocked that it actually should offend anyone.
So, apologies all round.
I have to say, in all seriousness, if it is a thing that people are finding the moderation round here to be lacking or that the forum is not meeting needs, I will step down and let someone else have a go.
It's fun to check in and fap about.
It's not fun when intentions are misread, or when I am offensive without realising.
I really try to keep things light and fun.
I don't want to be a mod nazi, but there is a chance that I am not meeting expectations.
If that is the case I shall pass the holy cap of moderation over to another.0
