If Ireland could print significant figures on notes just like we print our own symbols on coins, whom would you pick?

    €5 - Michael Collins
    €10 - James Joyce
    €20 - Daniel O'Connell
    €50 - Douglas Hyde
    €100 - Charles Stuart Parnell
    €200 - Jim Larkin
    €500 - John Hume

    serious post:

i hate the way our euro coins are so boring on the back. its just the harp. other countries have different designs and we could do the same with some some of the faces mentioned above. like spain

    On a side note,

Ever notice how boring and inspiring the € banknotes are? They're just awful. I know it was difficult to have designs that would be acceptable to all but they just seem so drab and dull to me..very much like the EU i suppose.

    Just another scummy FF shyster.

And a man who presided over the RC church getting their hands on poor innocent kids to torture and rape.

The only note he should go on is an IOU.

I say forget about new notes, they will be worthless anyway. Just issue everyone with a lasercard and have a cashless society. That would piss off the tax dodgers, the crims and the social welfare fraudsters.

So just put a picture of big brother or a pair of eyes on the card.

Seriously are we near a cashless society, I think it is coming whether we want it or not.
