    Hi All,

Has anyone used a glue gun to stick a mount to a backing board??
I used to use double sided tape and thought i was being cleaver getting the glue gun.
My problem is the glue dries very quickly, it dries before i can close the mount and backboard together.

Any one here have any experience with glue guns??
I am using the correct glue stick, white ones for wood.

    Cheers for any tips.

    Steoc

nooooooo dont use a glue gun

    use double sided tape

if you want to make it easier for yourself get an ATG gun and use ATG tape, which is a double sided tape

BUT dont get the tape anywhere near the print

Glue gun is handy for any crafts, packing, making sturdier frames from pencils or cardboard... you haven't wasted anything.

AFAIK, you can get hot melt glue sticks with different setting times - and I think it's possible to get slower setting glue sticks. Just reference, if nothing else.

Well, I have about 40 kilos of golf balls, that I need to glue onto a suitable mount, to realise my "art object" idea. We might strike a deal here ;)

    Hi,

I got them at a discounted price.
Only half a stick used will let them go for a little loss on my side :o
    Pm me if your interested.

    Thanks.

    Just a quick update...
Im getting on right well with the glue gun now.
I do have the mount and board first, press and then do the other half :)
Glue sticks are a lot cheaper that the tape for the ATG gun too.

So all in all im a happy boy.
