Question: would you go to a music gig on your own or not?

Thanks BW, here's hoping there's a good turn out. It's taking so much time and effort

It'll be great! Tables quizzes do take a lot of work. But it pays off in the end. :D Never been to a bad table quiz.

I'd try to get somebody to go with me tbh but if nobody was available and I really wanted to see the act then I definitely would.

Who you thinking of going to see?

if it was a band i really loved and was dying to see yeah
otherwise i might post on the music forums and ask is anyone else going, i think it's a social kind of thing

Death In Vegas are playing the Button Factory. My friends are smashed or doing something else that night. I've wanted to see them for aaages. I won't die if I miss them but it'd be cool to see them.

I don't enjoy going to the cinema on my own, so I don't think I could do a gig on my own.

I've been mad into listening to their "Dirge" recently, but I don't know that I would be much into the rest of it

If you really want to see them - go! it's fairly easy to meet people at gigs (they clearly share your interests) and when the band are on you won't be talking to anyone!

Galvasean once went to see iron maiden alone - told me he absolutely loved it!

Yeah I know, but there's the banter before and after that I'd miss out on.

I may have someone to go with me by the end of the week. :) Just wondered had anyone ever gone by themselves and enjoyed it.

Depends, as others have said, how much I wanted to see them.

I've gone to gigs on my own. Was actually contemplating going to Death in Vegas :pac:
It’s defo not quite the same without the banter, but you still get to hear great music :D

Yes, it doesn't bother me to do so, I go to the gig to check out the band and I've always the option to get talking to people there and making some new friends. My main group of friends will only attend large gigs in the RDS or such whereas I love getting out around the city and attending the smaller independant gigs. There are some really great bands playing weekly either for free or with next to nothing ticket prices.

You should definitiely go, life is all about first experiences after all :)

Hmm, upon checking out that band they're pretty good, I may be tempted to attend also.

    Anywhere exciting?

My last school trip was to a prefabricated insulated panel factory, the one before that was to a brick factory. I can't remember whether I visited a glass factory in reality or whether I simply watched a video, the excitement was just too much for me to store the memories correctly.

As you can see, I've lived a life of action till now I has

Most exciting tour I can remember was the coke (a-cola, you lot :P ) factory. Actually it was crap, but we did get to try a lot of it, so I was happy!

Oh, well this is even more exciting....the artgallery, I has to sketch stuff.

I don't draw. At all. So this will be on pain of being stabbed to death with a pencil by my art lecturer. :pac:
Then we're going to the Dead Zoo though, so tis all good. :)

Our Christmas school tour every year in primary school was going to see Christmas pantomime in the Gaiety and shopping in Stephen's Green. We LOVED it :D

Nope, I have more, including one on my toe and one on the back of my knee.

Ha I think every school child in dublin (Ireland?) ended up in that factory at one point.

Our college lecturers made us do that too, though it was to sketch shop signage. I can't sketch to even the basest level of skill so it was one of my more disliked assignments. I ended up being thrown out of the Jervis centre by security for sketching, as according to them I needed a permit  . I swear the lecturers only came up with assignments like that so we'd be away from the college and leave them in peace.
Then we're going to the Dead Zoo though, so tis all good. :)

I've never even heard of that, I'm intrigued.

Anyhow, G'Morning all. Best nights sleep in ages last night, I'll never take those fabric softener advertisements for granted ever again :pac:
