He's had one a half good games. Relax there chief. People in here seem to be getting carried away with a player who was only ever average at best for us up until a week ago where he looked good against a clueless liverpool side.

If he stays fit I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out be our player of the season this year. He was a good player before the injuries and the determination he showed to get back to full fitness despite all the setbacks shows the character of the man. He was the driving force that helped the Arsenal midfield dominate against Liverpool - long may it continue

I've always thought there's a great player lurking inside diaby somewhere, but let's not get carried away. He's showed promise before and then reverted back to being a very frustrating player. Consistency has always been his problem. Well that and injuries, which would also cause the inconsistency.

yes, i think injuries are the only thing that will stop him finally showing his true potential on a consistent basis.

Diaby's other problem is his awareness. When the game gets tight, sometimes he struggles to keep the head up. When it is up he's very, very good (even capable of the odd defence splitting cross field pass a la Scholes), but in the tight games all too often he's run into an oppenent before he can sort himself out.

I have to say though I'm hopeful, so far he's shown a bit more maturity in his play this season, less impulsive at times. Maybe the year watching from the stands has helped him read the game better.

Anyone know how to go about getting tickets for away games. I want to head over to the Villa game in a couple of months but have never been to an away match before...

Unless you are an Arsenal member you won't get tickets to that game. If you are a red member you will have a small chance of getting them.

The only other chance you have of getting a guaranteed ticket is to sit in with the Villa fans but unless you are a member you won't be in with the Arsenal fans i am afraid

Ah right ok. I'm not a member unfortunately, I'm able to get home tickets so never needed to be. Ah well, I'll have to reconsider my plans it seems. Thanks anyway!

Do away fans ever sell their tickets on twitter?

Some of the packages that the travel companies do look pretty decent - has anyone ever used one? Not sure if they're doing Villa though.

I was looking at Wigan away last year and for €180 you get coach, ferry, and away match ticket with the away fans, very good in my opinion. Was looking at it this year but we play them end of December and I'm going to Malaga - who are playing Real Madrid the day before I get there  It being Christmas and all then though I'll thank them for giving us Santi :D

Always retweeting people selling tickets. People were selling for Liverpool away so Id say you could pick one up for Villa away this way.
Also, Id imagine Villa away will go on sale for red members so If your quick off the mark you could pick one up though the Arsenal site.

IMO it's impossible to know what to expect from Diaby. No-one here really knows what's he'll be like. We know he's gifted yeah, but we've never seen him when he's fully match fit and has a few months of constant play under his belt.

Also, no-one here would be really surprised if he broke down again. I'm really hoping, for him as much as for the club, that it doesn't happen and the signs are decent with regard to him having a full preseason done and having played a few matches.

It's horrible, I've no interest in international football outside of the actual tournaments themselves. The fact the irish team are so bad makes it even worse. They were so crap on friday I was actually embarassed that they ended up winning rather than relieved. roll on next weekend please.

Walcott has apparently pulled out of Tuesday's game for England with an illness - hope it won't keep him out against his former club on Saturday.

Would rather start with Chamberlain and Podolski on the flanks to be honest.

Yes me too - then again Chamberlain could get a knock tomorrow night and we'd be without him and Walcott. And if not Walcott's pace will be very useful if he comes off the bench.

Is it me or do the internationals always fall when we've just had a good run or result?

    From AFCamden:
Modified: Injury update on long term absentees Wilshere, Frimpong, Sagna and Rosicky + Walcott and Szczesny #afc
Long term absentees Jack Wilshere, Emmanuel Frimpong, Tomas Rosicky and Bacary Sagna all trained this morning, doing fitness work AND ball work which is fantastic news.

Jack is expected to join in with full training at some point next week along with Frimpong, whilst Sagna and Rosicky are slightly behind. Depending on how the latter two do they could also join in late next week, however, are expected to join in the week after.

All the long term absentees will need time to get up to speed, I'd say about 10 days/2weeks of full training to get some match fitness and then most importantly they will need games.

Wojciech Szczesny has recovered from his rib injury and joined in with training today; he should be available for Saturday. Meanwhile, Theo Walcott has withdrawn from the England squad with Illness. First signs are he'll be OK for Saturday, expecting more concrete news on him as the week progresses.

Good news in general. Apparently Diaby has pulled out of the next France match although it's said to be just a precaution.

Also a question why do that other club thats in north london who i won't mention have there own forum ?? Our thread is one of the most frequently updated threads and I think we deserve our own thread .....There not even a Champions league team :O

So they dont infect the rest of us? :D

I asked before and never got an answer. Surely if anyone gets their own forum it would be United or Liverpool. Those threads are impossible to keep up with.

The bit that always confused me was that despite the fact they had their own forum, there's still a gossip/rumours thread in here for them.
