Hey, on average how many shots can take a DSLR before it's lifespan ends? Can it be fixed after that?

I think even the lower spec ones these days are rated for around 100,000.

...but I suppose, like anything, the life expectancy depends on how well it is treated.

So if I was offered a samsung camera, with 10'000 shots done, with 3 lenses, 3 years old, good condition, comes with filters + flash + bag for like 150 euro, I should get it?

Doesn't sound too bad to be honest. My sony is pottering along 30k shots and it's nearing 4 years old. No intentions of replacing it until it breaks.

    Samsung GX-1s
I had a Olympus E-480 before, it was okay. Would this be better?

It looks as if it's a tad older than you say ( http://www.dpreview.com/news/2006/1/16/samsunggx1s ) but if it works & you get all the bit 'n bobs for €150 I'd chance it.
Any Samsung experts care to voice opinions...?

No idea about other brands, but I had the sensor/mirror mechanism replaced on one of my cameras. The cost of a new mechanism was cheap in comparison to a new body.

So, it can be well worth your while buying a cheapish 2nd hand body, even with a high shutter count.

Besides, the shutter is only quoted with a mean time to failure. It could fail after 10 shots, 10,000 shots, or 300,000 shots. You just never know.

Guess I will go for it then.
