NTL Scientitifc Atlantic Router

Hi, My mother got broadband with NTL. The router is a Scientific Atlantic cheapy by the looks of it. It has no wi - fi and only one ethernet cable and one phone cable on the way out. COAX is coming in because it is NTL. Is a big deal to just go to argos and buy a better router and connect it? Any tips? Thanks

The modem itself can't be replaced, but yes, you can add another router to it.
