I used to regularly wash my cars. It got annoying when it would rain but I always kept at it. Then one day, I just snapped. I gave up washing the cars when one fine day I washed all 3 cars. Farmer gobsh*te had muck and slurrey all over the road a few hours later. Not only was my car in the condition you see it in the pic but both parents cars also brown. Passing cars and jeeps would blow muck all over the sides making it even worse. I just said what's the point anymore...

Rarely do any of the cars get washed anymore. The only ones I would regularly wash would be the Alfa and BMW

Feel free to wash that Bravo btw :pac::pac::pac:

    do tell :pac:

is it no coincidence that a good percentage of those cars were "farmer green" to begin with?

Yep too right Andy, it's genuinely crushing seeing that car now. I'd say it's in fairly poor condition now. What on earth happened the gorgeous wheels?!?!

Also it was for sale a while back at €2250 and now at €3950...

What on earth have I started.... :o :pac::pac::pac:

dgt - I'm perplexed, with all the fields around your house and a driveway etc. you choose to wash your cars on the side of the road :P

The 406 was the only real farmers car I've bought so far, tend to avoid them at all costs. Xantia too...

I got that Subaru dirt cheap. A wonderful car, twas imported, full of toys and lack of essentials for Ireland. The torque it has was unreal :pac:

Alas, it was a seriously thirsty brute and the cv joint let go. Sourcing 1 out was a nightmare and when we did, nearly had a heart attack at the price. "You see sir, that chassis number isn't on our system, we can specially order one but...." yada yada yada.

I had to break it for parts :( I did rally it around the garden and crash it before I did that though (as it was damaged in the front anyway)

Believe me I would get another one if I had the moneys

Actually, make that twice I went jap...

I knew the young fella who one day had an electrical incident with that car. Was cheaper for us to take it and dispose of it. Local scrappies wanted the car and 60 sods!

i can not understand why the environmental crowd aren't onto you for polluting dgt :pac: i'd love a snoop around your place, i'd say it'd be like being in a sweet shop. also how did you get that bravo to balance perfectly on its center on that stack of tyres... is there anything you cant do?

Wash the dirt and muck down the road and let it be someone elses problem. Don't want muck in the house :pac:

i pass this guy selling Evening Echo's everyday I drive to work at Sarsfield Roundabout, everyday the last few weeks he stares at me weirdly. Today he walked up and tapped on the window and said if im ever selling the Astra to give him a call and handed me his number on a corner of an Echo! :pac:

Amazing the difference a bit of plastic lip kit does, well in my eyes anyway.

Because were very environmentally friendly up here ;) theres all sorts up here from old stuff to new, there's bits for 60's Fords lurking about :) I must get a pic of the X1/9's at the back of the garage, both scrapped, ones an Italian import and the other... Well... It's part of the ground at this stage

I don't have a pic of the other side but its up on wheels too. Triangular arrangement if you must :p

That sounds like a challenge for me for the next shredder, can I balance it on a single stack of tyres.... :pac::pac::pac:

The ST ate my money and it won't give it back :(

I tried to get it to admit it had a drinking problem but it just growled at me

My mate is selling his ST right now because of its drinking problem. Seems to be getting about 300 miles to a tank or less, pretty mental.

I got to €80 and for every euro afterwards i was mentally saying to myself that i had discovered a black hole inside my fuel tank :p
y scooby is a thirty bastard too, but I just say to myself:

Well, I don't smoke, drink, take drugs, go out every weekend etc, driving gives me that smile in my life and it costs only 10-20eu extra on petrol per week compared to bangornomics ford. Well worth it!
    THIS!! 100 times this

I'm sick of people moaning at me when I put over €100 in at a time! Wouldn't have it any other way than to jump in the car and truly enjoy the drive!

Now I'm in the mood, off for a spin somewhere :)

    They are 55L
I'm lucky to get over 400 km to a tank around town.
Can get about 600 on longer trips though.

    Same as the gti then.
I've been keeping track of fuel consumption on an app lately and im getting between 28 and 30 for the past few weeks, was able to get 35+ when I tried but **** it, what's the point?
I'm the same as ShadowHearth, i dont drink and stuff, and I work in a pub, so when people slag me or whatever about how mad I am to have that car in this day and age,
I just remind them that there paying between 8 and 9 euro per liter for the alcohol there currently swallowing and that shuts them up!

Ha so on a long run its about the same as my 1.4!
    Same size tank really.
Obviously I'm better around town, just but that is annoying.

    450km per tank for me.

It's thirsty, but it's totally worth it! :)

How come I've never seen them on an OPC? They usually have the Ford ST style alloys.
