Asus UX31A vs 31E

I'm in the market for a new laptop for college. My main requirements are good build construction, ultra portable and decent battery life. I'm in the market for a new laptop for college. My main requirements are good build construction, ultra portable and decent battery life.

Komplett have the Ux31E for €999, which is right within budget, and reviews from last year were quite favourable.

However, the updated Ux31A earned reviews such as "everything the Ux31E should have been", "fixes all the issues", etc.

I'm not overly concerned about the slightly inferior panel on the 31E, but the keyboard and trackpad "issues" are a little worrying.

Can any owners confirm if these are actual issues at all or just "different" and something that requires a certain period of adaptation?

I remember the trackpad issues when one of the zenbooks came out (no idea if it's the one you are looking at), they were sorted soon after with a driver update.
