Many years ago I lived in a Village what had a Cat that visited every open window it could find. Make itself at home then crap in the house and went on to the next. It managed to crap under my quilt when I had left a window slightly open. I had to buy new bedding and a new matress. The Company who I bought the matress off offered to remove the old matress but I did not want them to think it was me who put the skid stains on it so just set fire to it when it was dark.

    That's awful...and brilliant :D

Leave a sock on the handle of the open window, it's a well known Do Not Disturb sign

Pour lemon juice on your window sill especially where you think the cat might have climbed on it, the strong smell will deter it in future. Do it every 2 days for about a week should be enough to keep it away

Smart man here. I have no idea why but our cats would go ape if they get a whiff or taste of citrus. Heightened sense of taste / smell?

    Hogwash !
I seen itchy & scratchy drinking lemonade last week

Put some washing up liquid around the window and the frame, they dont like the smell of it. Works wonders at keeping them away.

Put pepper on your window ledge and that will keep the cat away, We had the same problem, worked for us.

Did that, but Pepper kept falling off the window ledge. She was a German Shepard, so didn`t really fit.

Works better if it's lemon scented washing up liquid.
Could be the cat was preggers and looking for somewhere to drop a litter, best to close your windows or you could get a worse surprise.
