05 corolla gearbox advise!!

The gearbox in my corolla 1.4 d4d is on the way out, I have tried everywhere to get another one but no joy, I was wondering would a gearbox out of a diesel yaris or something be the same, any help or information would be great, thanks

Try and get yours reconditioned, the gearbox on those isn't the best, and what you buy mightnt be much better than your own

I presume that you that the gearbox bearings are noisey and starting to fail. Its generally what fails on them. Are you having any issues selecting gear ??

Just have the box rebuilt, you are looking at somewhere around €600-700 inc vat

Yeah there's a noise coming from it, grinds going into second and its getting hard to put into third coming down the gears
