I was going to say "Blockbusters", but it looks like it's still running according to Wiki.

So I'll say "The Krypton Factor".
They had the obstacle course, a flight simulator round where you had to land a 747 on a runway, some form of spatial awareness/physical puzzle round and the usual quiz rounds.

    You Bet!

Saturday night TV now is some form of Chinese torture/character breakdown. Seeing Paddy McGuinness host entitled chav weemin is one thing. But when someone let Ray Foley do an Irish version, it redefined for me what 'hate' is.

    Does Blind Date count?!

    For catchphrase fans

    http://www.purely-games.com/catchphrase.html

when you get the phrase instead of clicking for another just refresh the page.

It has to be Quicksilver, surely :D

Stop the lights Bunny (great game show host name). Didn't Bunny make off with bags full of money from Gorta or was that an urban myth (they said that's where the "it was resting in my account" line from Fr Ted came from).

I'd love to see Sale of The Century back. Hughie Green another great game show host name. You could end up buying a car and a motorboat for £900.

Seen a few episodes of an Italian game show where they lose their clothes.

Would like to see that back on TV over here! :D

(There is videos out there of the show - but I'd be banned if they were posted in here) :D

Think it was called 'Tutti Fruitti' or something. Was mentioned in a couple of the Irish football players autobiographies. They used to head off to bed early during Italia '90 to watch it!

Thanks I am now singing the theme tune, "It's only a game so put up a great big fight, We're gonna be snookering you tonight!"

    "Treasure Hunt"

Or the cheesy rip-off/spin-off "The Interceptor" which had a great theme tune !

Yea and there is others too.
Without providing direct links, I'll just say http://www.dailymotion.com is less prudish about hosting clips of them. :o

15 to 1 was brilliant. Used to be so chuffed if I ever got one question right, it was a hard quiz.

Chain Letters used to be on UTV in the mornings, and Crosswits with Tom OConnor.

Bloody hell, really showing my age here. Busmans Holiday was another one.

Used to love Blackboard Jungle with Ray Darcy on RTE. The Generation Game as well. Does Funhouse count as a gameshow?

Agree with previous posters about Big Break, Catchphrase, Blanetey Blank, The Price Is Right et al but they'll never be better than the previous presenters.
