I'd love to have his voice, but it might sound strange coming from a small pasty white Irish guy.

Still, let's hope he was an organ donor.

Very sad, Loved his awesome voice :(

That's very sad news. He really was a gentle giant. If you haven't watched the clip above, I'd advise you to do so. He comes across as a really down to earth and sensible man.

    May he rest in peace.

He always came across as a nice guy. One of those actors you never heard anything bad about whom people generally liked. Always came across as very friendly in interviews, never forgot where he came from and what he had to do to get where he was in Hollywood.

Unique voice, anytime you'd hear it in an animation you knew immediately it was his. Built like a mountain, too, he was.

The Green Mile wouldn't have been half the film it was without him.

And although everyone else in it gave a flawless performance,
it was Michael Clarke Duncan who brought it to life.

    R.I.P

He played an excellent part in 2 and a half men as the over protective father type. I was sceptical about him being in a comedy show after such an intense film like the green mile but he was brilliant in it and had some comedic skills.

He was the best thing in almost every movie he ever appeared in; Daredevil, Sin City, Armageddon and, of course, The Green Mile. It's a genuine shame to see him gone.

I think it would be fantastic, everyone would stop in their tracks.
    Was it a heart attack?
He was supposed to be a pretty clean living guy.

I've never seen it.Ending was ruined for me by a vengeful brother. I'll give it a watch.

An incredible talent that could grip viewers visually and emotionally. Seemed to be one of the most genuine people in the movie industry.

    A true character...and a truly decent person.

    Rest in Peace.

If I could cast a shadow as big as this man did, I would be a lot further on in life than I am now.

Apparently if you met him in the street and managed to get his name right he'd give you $5.
    Seems like a true gent.

Tribute from Kelly Hu that came up on twitter for me. I thought it was nice.

I cried when he told me that before his Oscar nom people used to be afraid to get into an elevator alone w/ him. After, they were happy to shake his hand. My Nubian brother will truly be missed. #RIP Michael Clarke Duncan

You can kind of get a sense of his personality from this clip.

He has, or had, an infectious smile.

    RIP.

Had no idea he had a heart attack back in July. Big loss in every sense of the word.

    RIP.

Tragic death, he was also a big MMA fan and a BJJ blue belt.

Actually never saw the Green Mile (I know :-O) but knew who he was alright. That video that someone put up of the interview with him really shows him to be a very genuine, down to earth guy - chatting away about the bulls and how he never drank etc. Seemed like lovely guy - no bull****. RIP
