Can't remember the names of stations from that far back myself, except Sunset107fm, and then later Club106.4fm. But i do remember a station playing all breakbeat stuff back in 1991 i think, used to have it locked every night. It's actually where i got my love of rave from, then onto jungle by 1993, and so on and so forth lol.

That's not the case at all, the majority of what was played in that place, doesn't get a look in these days. As with all styles of music from bitd, the "big classics" or "anthems" as they're known are what the majority of people remember, so they are what get played and played and played at oldskool nightsover and over and over again.If you had a time machine now, and could go back to 92 or 93 for a night in the Asylum, i bet you probably wouldn't hear one of those "classic" tunes getting played.

It's a pity, clubs over here didn't invest in DAT recorders back then. They could have made a fortune on selling weekly tape packs, like they did in the UK. Most of the sets that are going around these days, are very poor quality audio, and unbearable to listen to, because of the quality of them, no matter how good the mix may be.
