Surprised QPR aren't top of the bill on SSN transfer special. Lots of hot air from clubs but QPR are signing and will probably nab a few more.

You'd think the Liverpool fans would shut the **** up for two minutes to let the reporter do his job.

    Yeah you'd think so!

Stoke fans are doing it properly.

    Reporter seemed a bit intimidated.

Transfer deadline day is like Christmas morning for unemployed scousers.

Gotta love Scott Sinclair's optimism. Comfortable bench it must be at City.

And a bit like St Stephens morning for us Arsenal fans...

£30 million for Moutinho (release clause that is). Wonder if Spurs going paying that!

Why does everyone leave their buying till last minute anyway? Theres been three monthd to do business and it only leads to knee jerk panic buys like Carroll. Madness.

Funny enough the Dutch squad was announced today and Van Gaal left out VD Vaart, De Jong and Affelay because "they hadnt played enough recently and are too busy getting away from their club."

Transfers while most leagues are already a bit on the way is ridiculous.
have a window of june 1st till july 15th and that is it. Also no winter transfer window.

According to the Guardian, De Jong will be on €150k a week at Milan.

Didn't think Milan were paying those type of wages any more.

The five City signings mentioned earlier are meant to be Wright, Sinclair, Maicon, Javi García and Nastasic. Underwhelming?

No winter transfer window would be a bit unfair on the many countries worldwide who run on a March to November league cycle.

Very. They will regret not pushing on having won the league last year.

They still have a really strong squad.

Wright will never even make the bench
Sinclair will be an option from the bench
Maicon will be a huge signing IMO, just what he needed after stagnating at Inter
Javi Garcia is a great signing
Nastasic is being signed for the future no?

They had the strongest starting 11 last season, they are just bulking up their squad now.

No, their first 11 didnt need improving. Theyve improved their squad. They didnt need to go and buy a £30m midfielder or striker

Park Chu-Young signs for Celta Vigo on a season long loan from Arsenal with a view to a permanent transfer.

Is there such a thing as a first 11 these days?

I actually think this is a bit if a myth. The first eleven id unreal and they gave great strikers , but cover at CM and midfield is pretty poor considering their resources.

Hence them signing Rodwell and Javi Garcia

From a live deadline day blog on a QPR website I read:
DONE DEAL Charlie Adam signs a four year deal with Stoke City for a fee of £4m. Liverpool will continue to pay for his McDonalds meal deals for the first two years of the deal.
