Times - Chelsea are willing to let Daniel Sturridge leave on a season-long loan to Liverpool if they succeed in signing André Schürrle. #LFC

Scraping around trying to do more loan deals.

In fact, if we even spend 5m on Danny Graham, I'm closing my boards account.

In fact, if Graham ever wears a Liverpool shirt regardless of the fee involved, I would refuse to watch any of the games until the manager in question has nothing to do with the club.

But surely it could never happen.

Just home from work, getting the news about Andy Carroll. Well...since it's a loan, will he still be on our wage bill? I hear from Germany, he is

This kid striker is in the September 2012 World Soccer Magazine in a 'Football Wonderkids' feature. Probably means very little, indeed it only talks about his goalscoring record, but nice to see him mentioned all the same.

I'm actually genuinely struggling to think of a striker that would be considered an reliable goal getter and is also attainable for us right now. Huntelaar we all spoke of yesterday but it seems he is staying at Schalke. The likes of Lewandowski, Gomez, Cavani, or anyone of the ilk, are just not gonna join us.

Maybe my mind is a bit clouded as I draw close to the end of work, but Huntelaar is the only player just below that tier that I can think of at the moment.

I think G.K may be right when he said we could well end up signing two attacking players, neither of them being the out and out striker that we all seem to want.

I could live with that. Anything above 10m is far too much for him as things stand and his attitude is a worry for me.

If he has to join I'd be a lot happier if it was on loan rather than a permanent deal tbh.

Dempsey and Sturridge could be ok.

if we get Sturridge & Dempsey
it will be 28 PL goals last season combined compared to Carroll's 4
so it will be good business imo

Never seen him play. All I know about him is what I have read. Meant to have loads of potential by all accounts, but we have been down the road of "he has loads of potential" a hell of a lot so won't be holding my breath.

You know this guys is going to be a total success now :D

    Why?

    Not good enough.

I presume we have learnt enough from previous mistakes to ever sanction such a deal in the future.

Said it before, but what about Diego militio. Only a short term option as he's 33 but he has a great goal scoring record and should be pretty cheap. 24 goals in serie A and 26 in total last season. Worth a shot?

Hopefully this one won't involve one of our best players leaving.

Sturridge on loan eh? Hmmm, would actually be quite fond of that. I have grave reservations in buying him, but the opportunity to try him out first and see if he's as...well, stupid, as I think he is would be great.

Sturridge loan with an option to buy, Dempsey bought, and I'd be pretty happy with this window.

Why would Chelsea loan out Sturridge? They're short up front as it is and still haven't replace Drogba or Anelka.

They'll probably get a big name up front tomorrow.

The main difference of Carra and Skrtel playing together this season seems to be that Carra is playing in the left CB position. Makes sense that he is the one to change if he is the replacement playing beside a first choice CB.
