    Currently in Wildcard mode.

    Out went Krul,Cole,Mata,Noble,Guthrie,Clichy
    In came Begovic,Rangel,Jagielka,Hazard,Kacaniklic and Michu

Leaves me with the following team, talk about jumping on bandwagons :)

    Begovic,Ruddy
    Rafael,Rangel,Jagielka,Hangeland,Clyne
    Kagawa,Yaya,Hazard,Michu,Kacaniklic
    Tevez,RVP,Prog

Might bring Clichy back in when I find out if he will be playing against QPR
Going to bench Hazard this week
    Any thoughts lads?

Any money in the bank to upgrade Pogrebnyak or are you planning on holding onto him long term?

Think I might hold on to him for a bit, have 0.2 left in the bank,so have no other choice :)

    Agreed.

Baines projected value to price - 18.9
Vermaelen projected value to price - 17.4
Evra projected value to price - 16.5

Evra is a mile down the projected value to price for defenders before you even look at forwards.

How do you work out that, is it based on points last season divided by this season's price?

I think I could play 3-5-2 most weeks and bring in The Prog when
Reading have decent fixtures and switch to 3-4-3

    Yeah thats a decent strategy!

I like to play 3-4-3 each week if i can
my team for this week is:

    De Gea

    Jagielka
    Zabaleta
    Colocinni----

    Kagawa----Kacaniklic
    Pienaar
    Michu

    Tevez
    Graham
    RVP

    Subs: Begovic, McCartney, Clyne, Hazard

Happy with that, only thing that concerns me is there is a lot of doubling up on players from the same team, 3 Utd, 2 City, 2 Swansea, 2 Everton. Feel like im banking too much on these teams to perform week in week out with this! I usually try to only have one couple from the same team to spread my chances to score from other teams but at the moment im unsure where else to look!

Ive got a few players on my watchlist who ill keep an eye out for over the coming weeks(Cueller, Johnson, Cisse, Ba, Petric etc) and take it from there! Fairly certain ill be transferring RVP out for another cheaper on-form striker soon enough to free up cash so money wont be a problem.

Reckon i should score well with this team this week at least and most of that team are long termers, changes will just be made according to home/away fixtures!

Which one should I choose? I'm using my wc.

    deGea (McCarthy)

    Rangel- Gibbs-Clichy (Demel, Clyne)

    Kacaniklic- Michu- Kagawa- Yaya (Hazard)

    Tevez- Rvp- Petric

    OR

    Begovic (McCarthy)

    Rangel- Baines- Clichy (demel, clyne)

    Guthrie- Michu- Kagawa- Yaya (Hazard)

    Tevez- Rvp- Petric

I see you have Colocinni,I was thinking about swapping out Hangeland for either Colocinni or Steven Taylor, would Taylor be more of a goal threat,I like to spread the risk as well, having two Fulham players could be risky

I like the look of B,three attacking defenders,Clichy would be only one I would be worried about,I had him in my team, but he was dropped for the Pool game,so he is a risk to rotation

Thanks for opinion. Clichy was out because his wife was giving a birth.

Have played my wild card and my team is looking like this, i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions while my transfers are still unlimited?

    GK
    Al Habsi,
    Jaaskelainen

    DEF
    Rangel,
    A Cole,
    Walker,
    S Taylor,
    McCartney

    MID
    Hazard
    Michu
    Bale
    Yaya
    Kacaniklic

    FWD

    Tevez
    Graham
    Adeyabor

I have 1.2 in the bank but i plan on replacing adeyabor with torres for GW4 might also replace bale for kagawa and take the four point hit if bale can't score some points at home to norwich

not sure what to make of S Taylor at the moment to be honest! he definitely will get up a bit judging by last season! To be honest if I knew he would be a regular starter I would bring Ryan Taylor in, before he got injured last season he was scoring great as he was playing further forward but he dosn't seem to get as much game time now! Reckon i'm going to stick with Colocinni for now!

Simpson's probably the best Newcastle defender to have if they don't sign another RB before the deadline. Their only natural RB at the minute and he's a bonus point magnet for some reason.

I think this is pretty much the only team that I can put out this week.

Would I be right in saying that?

We all have very similiar teams. Once it settles down in a few weeks, will be important to have a few differentials. If VDV goes to Hamburg, Sigurdsonn is one I'll definitely consider. Spurs ain't going great but with dembele behind him and adebayor in front of him, he could be a great option. Price has dropped to 8.9 aswell.

At this stage I think it's pretty much a case of staying as close to the leaders as you can and making as much money as possible.

Everything else will fall into place over the next few months and then the chase is really on.

Was it wildcarded? If it was, I'd say it's probably missing a United or City defender.

Otherwise, looks very solid to me. I'd be surprised if it wasn't scoring a fair bit above average.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,727 ✭✭✭darego

1.5 in the bank to make a few changes in the next few weeks. team will end up like this in 3~4 weeks. prob guna hold off on rafeal as i don't see united keeping any cleanies in the next few weeks. i'll get in smalling instead when he's back

staying away from the city defence because of rotation/price etc i think my defence and keepers will hold up well for the rest of the season. keepers rotate perfect, same with stoke/WH and newcastle/sunderland

Heres my team , i have played my wild card and have till the deadline tomorrow to change things . I dont think it looks to bad but any suggestions would be great .

    Al-Habsi

    Rafael - Jenkinson - McCartney

    Kagawa - Dyer - Kacaniklic - Fellaini

Graham - Teves - Van Persie

    Subs - Cech - Cameron - Cuellar - Hazard

    2.1M in the bank

    Thanks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,725 ✭✭✭kennyb3

Whats the 2.1m in the bank for?

Your defence looks weak. I'd upgrade one of cameron, jenko (long term basis) or mccartney.

(Would be Cameron for me to Swansea or newcastle defender)

Also you've spent 11.5m on goalies - seems like a lot!(way too much imho) 10.5m max.

Free's up another million for a second better defender or you go the whole Hog and get a Baines, BAE, Lescott or similar.

Hmmm so probably best to get Gibbs in maybe do you think or maybe an Everton defender

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

Played my WC and team as of now looks like this:

    Vorm

    Jagielka-Simpson-Williams-Gallas
    Pienaar-Yaya Toure-Michu
    Tevez(c)-Van Persie(vc)-Petric

    Subs:
    Jaaskelainen- Demel-Noble-Hazard

Have 0.4 left over, anything stand out that looks a bit wrong or could be improved on??
