How do you go about applying for the free fees scheme in TCD, does the registration office do it , or do you need to fill out an application form?

    thanks

You'll get some Orientation booklet some time before Fresher's week and there should be some form with it. You then complete it and hand it in during registration.

Just spoke with someone in student fee section of treasurers office and ..... fees for new undergrads are due 1st of Sept. He said there's a little 'wiggle room' to accommodate transfers etc and because of the new system. But basically if you are a new undergrad ... pay asap!!

You can pay online or via electronic fund transfer from your bank - however as it will take a few days to process, you really need to be doing it today.

I also asked about the SUSI sponsorship. You have to click on finance tab in mytcd.ie and enter details under sponsorship. Make sure to enter your SUSI application number, 100% and then complete the entry. It takes a while to update your fee payment form then. You also do this for the free fees inititative - under the finances tab on mytcd.ie - pre-register and follow the steps. make sure to submit at the end and then wait a little while for the system to update.

THEN you will only need to pay the €85 (gym fee and levy) today. And if the SUSI application is unsuccessful TCD will issue a new invoice which you will have to pay. And there is no 'late payment fee' if this happens.

    Hope this helps

The email we got last night said the original deadline has been relaxed because we weren't given enough notice, we've just been advised to have it paid before lectures start.
