Just bought a van version this week basically the same thing. Mines 2008 1.3 and have to say was nervous about buying them 1.3 as thought it would be really slow. But it's absolutely unbelievable how powerful it is. Little slow at takeoff in first gear but other than that great car to go. Seems to be a reliable enough engine I've had no problems with mine and theres 143000 Kms on it. As for diesel it's so light on diesel at one stage I thought the fuel hand was going up. It's actually unbelievable how good they are on diesel. So from my experience I would recommend you to buy it.
