A few weeks ago most posters agreed give the team a chance will take time no moaning
Two decent draws the team looks solid but not spectacular. Sure enough the team needs time
And what do we get nothing but moaning

Get a grip. Nobody is moaning too much BUT people saying that two scoreless draws are great need to get real. Those two teams will not finish in the top half of the league in my opinion.
Our defending was very good on the plus side and there were no silly mistakes. Bould is doing his job well.

Re read the last two pages you will see plenty of moaning

So Angel Rangel of Swansea and Yann M'Vila are being linked to us. Wonder if these are the two top top special players Wenger has been banging on about.

Was impressed with Jenkinson today; he's always looked kind of awkward on the ball whenever i've seen him before even with the odd decent cross - he looked very comfortable in possession today even though he didn't get forward enough for me.

Defensively solid today. We were a bit blunt going forward, making the wrong choices a few times but we looked promising. Carzola is a brillant player. Delight we can get to follow him this season and for many more.

We need to gel better as a team that's all that's missing. Two nil nils is okay, not acceptable for an Arsenal side who are in their stride normaly but we aren't that at the minute so we should be content with the scores we've managed so far. I would be confident going into the big games coming up with our defence and I think Jenkinson will be a proper player for us once he gets experience.

Who is whinging and panicking? I am saying that we have to be winning these games and not happy with scoreless draws.
I said the same thing about the game as Wenger did and you thanked the poster that posted Wenger's comments !!! Baffling.

No your saying that now, not in your previous post you mentioned the traitor, and how we had no proven goalscorers etc how weve scored no goals etc it was a whinnging post you also gave out about how people were comparing the first two games of last season to this yet mention the dutch lad and how he scored last season. We have a lot of new players it wil take time we have played well but not scored the goals will come we have plenty of players who will get goals. RVP was not the end all and be all of this club.

Also re read the thread the post I thanked was regarding Artetas comments not Wengers since your nit picking at my comments and thanks. Also no were in that did he mention the dutch lad, he was looking at the positives not the negatives, he said it wasnt good enough and we will improve but also mentioned the good defensive display, I also thanked the post because a question I asked was answered by another poster. Not so baffling there been a few in here today acting like were up **** creek without a paddle after two games with loads of new players people need to relax well come good.

Tbf not one person has said the last two matches were great results. Most if not all have been dissappointed by not scoring/winning them but are glad the team look disciplined at the back in a fixture(away to stoke) that usually causes problems for us while saying it will take time for the new look squad to gel.

I think thats a pretty fair viewpoint to have tbh and it appears its one you yourself agree with. Saying its some sort of disaster belongs on the back pages of The Sun not on the lips of rational Arsenal fans imo.

    You need to chill out.
I do certainly think we will miss RVP and only a fool would disagree. When had we two scoreless draws in a row against such BIG top teams like Stoke and Sunderland?
We didn't play too badly though especially the defence BUT we do need to settle down and get a few wins at the same time. And Wenger did say similar to what i posted about us not creating enough.

No need to chill out I am. I was just addressing a post you aimed at me .

Im not saying we wont miss him be hes not the be all and end all of this club plus hes gone now time to move on and stop talking about him hes no longer an Arsenal player we have a new team to focus our attention and support on.

True to but when have we looked so solid at the back either? There are positives its not all negative no need to focus entirely on the negatives. Your posts now compared to the knee jerk reaction one earlier have completely different tones.

The wins will come, Yes we are lacking in the final third but as ive alredy said I strongly believe that will be sorted omce the new players gel and get to know one another better now is not the time to criticise them for that if in 5 or 6 games we still havent scored then yes but right now no, earlier you said we need an out and out goal scorer Wenger has already signed two players he believes will do that so give them time they have only played two games.

There is no change at all in my views in either post.
We do need to start scoring goals and could do with an out and out goal scorer.
I do not and never have celebrated scoreless draws. Arsenal were never that kind of team.

I didnt say your views have changed I stated tone.

So who would you have us sign? Besides Podolski and Giroud who both had great goal scoring records last season.

I dont celebrate draws either but I realise we have new players who are settling and and dont expect them to come on and set the world on fire in the first couple of games. I also have belief in the squad that we have.

I don't know who we could sign and apparently neither does Wenger BUT it seems he is looking to strengthen. Like me he is not happy with what is happening in the final third --

I have no doubt it will come good in time BUT not too long a time that the gap keeps widening.

Bar Chelsea (who have played a game more), what gap are you talking about?

    City: 4 points
    United: 3 points
    Newcastle: 3 points
    Arsenal: 2 points
    Liverpool: 1 point
    Tottenham: 1 point

Hardly an insurmountable "gap". Chelsea are the only team to hit the ground running this season.

I think we all agree, 2 0-0 draws against 2 hacker teams is not good enough.
BUT it's not a cause for panic - not that Tayto is panicing. Mainly cos we've looked more solid - and we're giving time to the new lads to gel.

I recon we badly need a win against the pool though.

To be fair Wenger said what he said hoping to get the lads motivated.
We could be having this conversation if we end up with 1 win out of the next 8 games, but for now there is no crisis.
You are telling fibs trying to make out people are saying 2 draws are great, most people just don't see it as the end of the world.
And there were positives for sure, that's not the same as saying great draws lads!!!

The noises are we could see two or three but I also think it will depend greatly on whether or not we manage to shift some the deadwood weve been struggling to get rid of all summer.

Chelsea are 7 points ahead of us now. That is a gap and they are serious contenders. I am only interested in winning the league as i have often stated here. Second was never good enough for me i'm afraid.

I really do think we have the makings of a squad that can win it this season. We are just a player or two away from a winning squad but we will have to beat better teams than Stoke away to do it.

Football is mostly about hope, even for past winners!!!
Expecting it only comes with clubs who have spent every bit of cash available to them to win, that is the reason they spend so much money surely?
    Arsenal are none of that.
I really hope we can win it and there are areas that need backup (we can't expect huge signings) and that may or may not happen.
But i have huge respect for what Le Boss (Bould too) has done, bringing in proven internationals at a peak age, it may not work but i am really happy we are trying in the right way and dumped the players who don't have love for Arsenal.

I don't think Theo is going anywhere.
    Probably would've happened by now.
Arshavin, Bendtner & Chamakh on the other hand, look gone.

    Damn right.

I'm guessing some of the moaning is coming from people who thought we could challenge for the title this year.

Just give them a chance either way people. This should be a settled team for the next 2 -3 years. Stop judging them on two weeks.

    .

    I said that many times.;)
Expectation is too high, especially when we are re-structuring the squad and the assistant manager let's not forget.

    Yup.

No coincidence the back line is well organised, they've been together for a while.

The only two from midfield up with any experience together are Arteta and Gerv. How can we expect the rest to gel instantly to overcome the parked bus of Sunderland and Stoke away.

And before we go there, nil all next week at anfield would be a good result.

In it to win it? You serious? Arsenal haven't won anything in 7 going in to 8 seasons. Strange comment tbh

3? Not going to happen! Unless we get some cheap 17 year olds from France. I think we might get one decent signing with maybe (doubtful) an average player by the deadline on Friday- cant see anything else happening tbh but I hope I am wrong.

My guess is because it has been left a little late we wont be able to afford top guys which is quite unfortunate but still manageable till Wilshare, Sagna regain full fitness plus we have the december transfer period to get some quality players in.

Your hardly knocking his comments after coming out with this ****e earlier in the match thread

Arsenal look ordinary without RVP , No goals first 2 games for them doesn't bode well.
