I was out Friday night, I generally have quite a high tolerance to alcohol but on Friday from approx 9pm to midnight I would have had a naggin of rum that I mixed with coke and then when I headed to town I had 2 drinks. Was fine in town can remember drinking my second drink and talking to friends etc. then suddenly blank I cannot remember another thing for about 3/4 hours. I was speaking with friends yesterday who were out with me they said I just turned white as a sheet and was sweating profusely they also said that I physically could not speak and was just mumbling absolute rubbish. I don't remember being in the club for a few hours more, dont remember leaving, don't remember getting home or anything!!
What would anyone else think drink spiked???

Well, you are a great ride but I can't stand your personality.

    For me it's win win.

Your drink was probably spiked with a hint of alcoholism.

Could be a low blood pressure issue get it checked out.

Is there any reason someone would do that though?
Did you smoke cannibis? Or even cigarettes if you're not usually a smoker? Either of those could make you go really pale like that, after drinking what you did.
Might have just been tired or hungry or eaten something that didn't agree with you.
Unless there's reason to think someone wanted to assault/rob/embarrass you, I'd put it down to you needing to take things a bit easier for a while.

Don't think it was anything to do with being drunk, I wasn't even remotely tipsy when I got to the bar in town...

200mls of rum in the space of 2.5/3 hours wouldn't be an incredibly large amount of alcohol when you've a mixer.

There's about 5 measures in a naggin. You just drank more than you could handle.

Are you a chick? My guess is you are. When chicks drink heavy and get wasted, they all think they're so beautiful, therefore unapproachable, that of course it wasn't the bottle of rum and all the other drinks they had that did it. It was clearly a ne'er-do-well who just had to have you. no matter what.

Next time, drink less. It happens when you get old.

It seems rum in not your friend, especially by the naggin.

That's 5 and a bit (35.5ml) shots of rum + two other drinks.

Depending on what you've eaten, and how your body reacted to it, you could have easily had quite a serious reaction to that.

People don't seem to even comprehend how much they're drinking.

    Think of your liver!!!

That kind of pre-drinking is the sort of thing that only serious alcoholics would have done a generation ago or in most other countries.
Having a few beers is one thing, or a couple of glasses of wine, but if you're knocking back spirits like that you're asking for serious trouble. They're not called hard-liquor for nothing!

I don't smoke either cannabis or cigarettes so can rule that out!! There has been a number of random drink spikings in this pub in recent months....

you mean a number of people getting too drunk and deciding it's not their fault?

If you don't remember anything after your second drink then how do you know you didn't drink more?

Also, a whole naggin of rum? Well that was smart.

    You spiked yourself with alcohol

Alcohol is a drug too of course and your body will react to it in different ways

Id be more inclined to ask why did your friends leave you stay in the club for 3/4 hours and you in that state instead of bringing you home.
And also did they leave you go home alone?

hen suddenly blank I cannot remember another thing for about 3/4 hours. I don't remember being in the club for a few hours more, dont remember leaving, don't remember getting home or anything!!

That sounds like you were drunk out of your head.... Doesnt sound like rohypnol, ecstasty, mdma, acid, etc.

You could have been on the verge of alcohol poisoning... It is not unusual to drink such an amount of alcohol and blank out altogether...

Have you been drinking regularly before that, are you on meds, are you ill.

As it's not the usual spiking story.

In all likeliness, no. You were probably just really, really drunk.

I like it, get in early with an excuse, Who did you wake up next to in bed?

I won't even tell you the amount of booze I put away on some nights out, sometimes you can drink a little, other times a lot.

It depends on loads of things. Just watch your drinking. People are so quick to say they were spiked. My friend was spiked before. One drink and she was on her back, very scary.

I thought it was special footwear for the session.

I'd think about getting a check-up at the doctors just in case it's an early sign of a health issue- e.g blood pressure, diabetes, liver function, anything really.
Otherwise you have just gone past your level of tolerance for alcohol and should learn from it.
Spiking is unlikely, but possible I guess.

A similar thing happened to me once. I woke up in a friends house with no idea how I'd got there, the last memory I had was us leaving the house on the way to the local pub. My friend had to fill me in on everything that had happened after that point. Apparently as soon as I had reached the pub I had suddenly become so drunk that I could no longer stand straight or talk properly. My friend had to carry me home and we'd only been out a half hour, didn't have one drink in the pub!!

Heavy pre-drinking you might say? Funny thing was I only drank 4 bottles of wkd and had the tiniest sip of vodka because my friend wanted to throw out the bottle and there was a little bit left. This was spaced out over an hour and a half because I didn't want to get drunk, just have a good time

Twas a scary experience, I'm just thankful that my friend was with me and not someone who might have left me once I became to much hassle.
