Cesar hasn't really been the same since his car crash a couple of years ago. He can lose concentration at key moments, much like Rob Green actually.

Paddy Kenny must be loving this.

Yeah he's shaky under a high ball at times, opts for the punch too often like a lot of keepers on the continent but when it come to point blank saves there's very few better than him in the world, his agility is incredible.

Cesar was one of Inter's more consistent players last year. Problem was his wages, and Moratti wanted the bill reduced, so he replaced him with the cheaper Handanovic.

Valencia have now officially confirmed the signing of Aly Cissokho from Lyon.
The left back signs a four year deal with the club for a fee of around €6 million.

QPR have reported him for sending abusive text's to fernandes & some other guy on saturday night mocking them after the 5-0 loss

It's absolutely unbelievable that some with a twitter account name of EPLAgent007 can have almost 20,000 followers. That's the type of attempt at an account name that I would consider not possible by anyone over the age of 15. Utterly ridiculous.

Don't know if its been posted but Alvaro Perreira gone to Inter from Porto for circa €15m.

Another cracking bit of business for Porto - bought him for €4.5m.

    They're some club.

The funniest Transfer Saga of the season must be the one of Bayern and Martinez from Bilbao.

    - Bayern has agreed a deal with Martinez, and the player has made it clear he wants to go.

    - Bayern tries to negotiate deal, but Bilbao won't budge, and demand for th release clause to be triggered (40 mil. Euro)

    - Bayern finally agrees to meet the release clause of 40 mil.

    - Bilbao refuses to be paid directly by Bayern. They now want the player to buy himself out the contract.

    - Problem is that if Bayern would pay the 40 mil. to Martinez to buy himself out of his contract some additional taxes between around 6-8 mil Euro would be due, making it an almost 50 mil Transfer.

    - Bayern refuses Bilbao's demands, and asks the Uefa and Spanish FA for help to broker a deal to work around the problem, but Bilbao refuses to move on their position.

It now looks as the deal won't happen, and Bilbao will be stuck with a player that has his mind set on a move. Never good for a team. And all because there are presidential elections in the Autumn, for which the President needs all the votes he can get.

If Mancini has his way then some Abu Dhabi dosh will be heading Bilbao's way for Martinez. All depends on Khaldoon and Marwood though.

If it catches on then absolutely.

Speaking of Scouser shillings, and I dare not post this in the Pool thread, but according to Tony Barrett the Sahin deal is for a one year loan with no option to buy. Including wages, is spunking some of the little cash you have on a player on that sort of deal not incredibly short sighted?

For a player of his quality I have no problem signing him for a year. He will win us points on his own which will get us closer to the top 4 which will let us attract a higher calibre of player next summer.

I will hold judgement until its finalised if that's ok .

There has been so much b.s associated with this transfer that's it's nearly getting as bad as hazardgate, I said nearly :p

Unless you get to the Champions League places, and I'm 99% sure you won't, there's nothing between the type of player you'll get for being 6th as opposed to 8th.

That 7 million or whatever it adds up to be would be better spent elsewhere imo given there isn't (according to Barrett) an option to buy.

There are no midfielders out there for under 10m that come anywhere close to Sahins level. Even if its only for a year, it's still a great signing by the club.

7 million! What wages is this lad on? The last tweet I saw regarding it said we would be paying 70% of his wages. I'll try and find it.

From what I read he's on 110k so 70% of that plus 5 million fee. I didn't do the exact maths though, 7 million was just ballpark.

I didn't even know we were paying a fee of 5 million. Is that definitely true?

If he is as talented as they say then I'm still happy to have him but that does sound like a lot for a year.

dunno if it's true but its being said

arsenal had agreed a 2mil loan fee with them

Ki Sung-Yueng for £5.5mil to Swansea is in contention for signing of the summer for me.

He is one of the best two footed players I have ever seen.

He'll do very well at Swansea, will double in value in 12 months

Hes a class act. Better than Allen IMO. Surprised a Spurs type club didn't swoop. Laudrup has made some quality buys in him and Michu.
