    lads,

by the way, whats the link again that gives a history of all transfers? a liverpool fan laughed at the notion that i said City have spend more in the last 3-4 years, than United have in 25...need to proove him wrong, as usual.

but these werent rumours or crap, both these transfers were "done deals" in the opinion of united senior officials, both just fell by the wayside once it came to the s*it or get off the pot stage.

sure even fergie said the RVP deal took months to sort.

lol, I didn't realise United operated such draconian protocols about pictures in training tops.

    See this:

    RobinvanPersieManUnited_large.jpg

    and this:

    C_71_article_1583317_image_list_image_list_item_3_image.jpg

These are the pictures Man Utd and their sponsors want in every newspaper.
    Not this:

    Alexander+Buttner

It's business and there is a lot of money involved. That's the way it is and has been for a long time. You may find Buttner's 'enthusiasm' cute but I doubt the big wigs will share your view.
One would think they'd take a stronger stance on racially ambiguous tweets than on tweets of excitement at joining the club.
This is another matter entirely of course. Perhaps 'one' may be wrong though.

Remember Ric Flair was in Baywatch with a load of other WWF stars? He was planning to demolish an orphanage or similar and build "condos". Hulk Hogan and The Hoff said "You can't do that - What about the kids?". Flair whipped out the title deeds and screamed "I'M THE NATURE BOY!!! WOOO!!!! I GOT THE DOCUMENTS!!!! WOOOOO!!!!"

A hero. Fergie should get Ric Flair in to do motivational speeches for United.

That was a WCW Baywatch crossover episode.

Sorry, I spent a lot of my life in the 90s following wrestling and baywatch. Actually why did I say spent, I spend way too much of my life watching wrestling and Baywatch.

    :) All I said was:
Posting pics of himself in the jersey before the club reveal him? That won't go down well at all.

That's my opinion. You on the other hand reckon they'll view his actions 'favourably'.

We disagree. No one really cares. I just think you're wrong. ;)

    Anyway. Onto the match.

My advice is to dander on over to the liveonlinefooty titled thread. While that site is closed I highly recommend signing up to FSS. Its such good value and saves scrambling around for ****ty streams. Cant talk those 2 sites up enough

You gave your opinion of what kind of a player he might be having said beforehand that you had never seen him play which I found very unusual. So understandably I assumed you had only seen a picture of him based on that.

Why did you say you had never seen him play and then later say you had?

this is why i cant be bothered posting in this forum that much, childish s#ite by the vast majority,if that is what bothered you so much about my original post that you had to post a smart comment then otf imo
