Ere so what was the mood like at the stadium before, during and after the game?

been waiting to find out since Saturday evening :o

before: excited and optomistic, chorus' of "he leaves when he wants" were met with laughter
During: fans were very hungry for a result
    After: a little deflated

For once cant u lot be optimistic and start believing we can win teh title with this squad and manager?

i have a feeling we will! when wenegr firstc ame on board he bought viera and co who were not household names and embarassed Fergie and won the double with a bunch of none household names of players playing football that fergie can only dream.

have faith. this is a brand new era and i am excited. so excited i am now a red member

What I though was telling after the game Saturday and hasn't been discussed yet
Wenger said in his interview the system isn't working

That system was build for cesc, and kept cause it got the best out of rvp, now there gone will we change

If we do change what system do we go too, some interesting times ahead
I feel by the end of this window were fonna have a brilliant squad, all we need is to hope the team will gel and gel quick

If we do manage to sign M'vila then we can have a very decent season as we need a proper DM. Jack coming back might take ages to reach fitness and could easily relapse so we would have lots of cover.

I happily will but I sincerely doubt I'll have to.

Sahin and that'll be that for players coming in for us imo.

    By next week Sahin/DM
By the following week versatile back
    If we sell deadwood
Another striker (this is the only one I'm not confident about)

Ya I can't see us signing both Sahin and M'Vila. Out of interest, who would ye prefer to sign?? Who would be better for the club? I've never really seen either play

Would be some coup to land both M'Vila and Sahin. All the rumours starting to pick up some pace now.

I know it doesn't mean a huge amount but we are favourites to sign him @4/9 with Sp*rs 2nd favourite @13/8.

M'Vila is a quality player, very tidy. Questions over his personality remain though. Still, I'd love us to get him.

Tbh with Gervinho off to the ACN we're probably light on the flanks [presuming Cazorla plays centrally]. I'd have liked to have seen someone with the versatility to play up front and on the wings - someone like Mirallas would have been ideal [no idea how good he is; just from a purely positional sense he fits the bill].

    I'd agree with needing a versatile back but Jenkinson had a good game Saturday and could do a job based on that. Just having a look at our squad;

    GK - Woj; Fabianski

    LB - Gibbs; Santos
CB - Koscielny; Vermaelen; Mertesacker; Djourou; Miquel
    RB - Sagna Jenkinson

CM - Arteta; Wilshere; Diaby; Rosicky; Coquelin
    AM - Cazorla; Ramsey

    AML - Gervinho; Arshavin
    AMR - Walcott; Chamberlain

    FW - Podolski; Giroud; Chamakh

We look a little weak in terms of DM minded midfielder though Arteta might be able to fill that void. You'd like more experienced cover for RB. Up front we really do need AML cover as its likely Arshavin will be off and Gervinho as I said will be missing for the ACN. I'd strangely be inclined to keep the little Russian unless we can find a replacement. Poldi can play there alright but then if Giroud gets a knock who do we play up top? Certainly think we need more depth that side of the pitch.

I don't know tbh; I look at that and if Sahin comes in I think we're in great shape, and then I look at it again and think if we injuries in the wrong places we'll struggle.

There's a balance to be struck, we don't want another Lass Diarra situation should everyone [miraculously] stay fit. There should still be enough of games to go around for everyone all the same.

I'm assuming Squillaci, Park and Bendtner will be offloaded.

M'vila could go to United. Fergie promising one more and they're light there too.
    Outside bet.

any thoughts on rosicky being yer new DM?

nah, Arteta can do a job there if needed.
Also I'd like to see Coq and Frimpong given more game time. It wont be the end of the world if we dont sign a dm.

I've a hankering for another forward though - although it wont happen as arsene isnt a fan over overstocking the striker department. Llorente or lewandowski would make me very excited, not linked with them or anything but i'd like one or the other as a suprise early christmas present.

A few sources in Spain and France have linked us with a move for Llorente.
