Anyone watching Bullet in the Face? Saw the first two episodes, thought it seriously weird but pretty funny. Lots of tongue in cheek violence. Will definitely watch the rest of the season.

Watched the first 5 episodes last night, I love it.

Some of the lines in it are just brilliant.

I love how he keeps getting shot in the face yet miraculously surviving too.

It's a piss take of the likes of the mentalist and other cop shows where they find some one to become a consultant for the cops.

I discovered this last week, it's brilliant. Cheesy as hell but then that's kind of the point. It's everything Touch Of Cloth should have been. I'm 4 episodes in, episode 2 with it's visit to the Dentist was probably the best and the pilot was the weakest given that it had to cram so much exposition in, it didn't leave as much room for lunacy and collateral damage. And every time Eric Roberts or Eddie Izzard show up the screen just lights up...

It's from the same guy who gave us Sledge Hammer back in the 80's, and it's not really all that different. More gore and sex. Much more. Mostly implied (or misdirection - darn you, stubborn shoe!) so it can be written off as a parody of the way TV has gone in the last 10 years or so rather than being seen as paying your cable dues. But otherwise it's basically the same show. Well, it's what the show would have been if Sledge didn't have his .44 to talk some sense into him.

BTW - is it set in some sort of alternate future europe that's been culturally subsumed by Reagan's america?

I have no idea, I thought it was just that all the bad guys are "foreign" all the good guys are American.

I completed the series, it's horribly short and I don't know that we'll see another series.
